Standard tea is a continuous process of industrial proportions called CTC or cut, tear and curl, but the same principles apply.
The different character of each batch or tea type is artfully blended to meet our market specification….. after a 16 hour road trip down to Calcutta ‘the city that never sleeps’, where our teas are bagged and packed.
Our teas are one of the few Fairtrade certified teas actually packed in the country of origin!

'delinking· is meaningless because getting admission in MA was never automatic for continuing SA students, but was always based on scoring a certain CGPA; are we to assume ~ha~ t~e .faculty members who are the proponents of dehnktng do not have faith in their own evaluation system? Shouldn't the SL's own three year-long process of continuous evaluation be a better indicator of a student's language learning capabilities and 'seriousness' rather than an additional one-off three-hour MA entrance exam? And most fundamentally, the data of admissions to open MA seats over the years show that many of these seats remain vacant, proving thereby that students continuing from BA are in no way a 'barrier' to the entry of more 'meritorious' .

Last year, the issue was re-opened in the Nov 2012 8oS of .
.
SLL&CS. Several faculty members, including those from .
outside SLL&CS. expressed their opposition to 'delinking' .
in the 8oS meeting. However, due to extreme rigidity of a .
set of faculty members of SL, the JNUSU opinion was not .
accepted. Interestingly, they happened to be the same set .
of teachers who became hyperactive to oppose the demand .

On ?tn October 2013, the JNUSU conducted a Students' Referendum on this issue. An overwhelming 82% want the decision on delinking to be reversed. Several .
S LL&CS faculty members too have once again .
expressed their opinion in a statement for revisiting .
the 'delinking ' decision. .

Certain basic infrastructure which has been ruefully missing from the GSCASH office must be provided. The GSCASH essentially only a single room office. separated by a screen cuts a sorry figure. A photocopy machine must be provided immediately in the GSCASH office. At least 2 more rooms to be allotted to GSCASH so that parallel enquiries can be carried out. There is no permanent staff in the GSCASH office, which is very essential to have in an office full of sensitive and confidential information. It is obvious that these are not just some 'infrastructural' demands for bureaucratic/ technical reasons. These constitute some basic enabling necessities w ithout which GSCASH functioning stands m iserably impeded. speedy implementation of these demands are an urgent necessity. .
