December 27, 2010 (Monday) - A perfect cold and rainy day to visit the tropics (while staying in the city.)

I comment about my life and opinions in my eJournal and images every single day.

To our surprise, there was yet another ascend after the Trollstiegen

Ken Strickland, Katie Lapham, Andrea Wray, and Brooke Pound

which continue out in the water about fifteen/twenty feet. When you get to the edge of the ledges, the water drops to a depth of about fifty feet.

Took my Sunday off to drive from Palmdale, CA to Monterey on the I5/HWY101, then came back down on HWY1 to Santa Barbara... then somehow got back to Palmdale after some more HWY1/101. 650 miles of fun.

mr. fiance spent a couple hours getting that pipe out. it involved banging hammers, screwdrivers as chisels, and a blowtorch. he was a gem about it - i tried to keep him company but i fell asleep.

A later shot of tonight's Lunar Eclipse.

This guy was pretty nice, I didn't get the chance to get his name, however after him demanding that i give him five pounds to take the photo we agreed that if i gave him a cigarette i would get the rights to use the photo. Will be displayed in my photojournalism book that I'm producing for my graphic design final major project.

The construction zone continues to dominate the real estate of the roastery, but at least now I have a better notion of what's going on. Or, at least I think I do.

Colombia week is in full force, though we're having to bail on one of the coffees due to the fact that the coffee seems to have developed an agey flavor which I cannot really explain. It's really too bad.

In other news, Doobie tricked me into going to the dentist a while back after I fretted for months about what was happening with my teeth. In the end, I got a relatively benign prognosis and went in yesterday to get the limited work done. My dentist is still peculiar but I feel much better about him now than before.

I stopped for lunch at the viewpoint on this grassy knoll, and that was my turn-around point. But the trail continues on to a number of other destinations, including Linney Creek, Kinzel Lake, Devils Peak, and Hunchback Mountain.
