the ship's crew have to get used to the fact that the new a/c can hold a fair bit more fuel than the Bolkow.
Time for more and more sakura (cherry blossoms). Today I went to two different parks. The first one had all the good sakura trees, while the second had some good band playing.
The con plant that is furiously growing, continues to grow; I happen to download this to my Android phone, and found that it makes a very good wallpaper, soothing to the eyes. Try it!
As plans for the City Life eviction blockade took shape yesterday, many political leaders began calling Fannie Mae to urge that giant government-supported bank to halt the eviction of Christina Soares at 32 Oakwood. The offices of Mayor Walsh, Congressman Capuano, AG Healey and Sen. Warren all made calls. These calls continued this morning as people mobilized at 10 am in front of 32 Oakwood. Nevertheless, protesters continued to get the message that Fannie Mae was continuing the eviction.
By 11 am 75-100 people had assembled, including many City Life members, but also representatives from Codman Sq. NDC, Right to the City, the Fight for 15 campaign, Harvard Legal Aid, Greater Boston Legal Services, the Black Economic Justice Inst., and Councilor Yancey himself. The group protested for 3 hours, chanting and hearing impassioned speeches.
At 1 pm the news came that Fannie Mae had decided not to evict and to review COHIF’s latest offer. That offer (290K) is much less than the very high amount Fannie wants (410K) but slightly more than Zillow says it’s worth (287K) and apparently much more than the outstanding loan balance (235K – what Fannie Mae took it back for at auction).
The crowd left chanting “we’ll be back” to 32 Oakwood if need be, or to defend any of the several other Fannie-Freddie fighters facing imminent eviction.

This afternoon I visited the horses again. My beautiful friend seemed even more at ease with me today, than the last time I visited. She even let me pet her while I took some photos. What a wonderful gift she gave me.
Local theatre producers had a provocative message for the Colorado’s teaming talent pool at a specially called forum last week: “Get to class.”
Representatives from theatre companies large and small gathered at Cap City on Jan. 12 to light a fire under the creative community.
“We’re good,” said longtime BDT Stage Artistic Director Michael J. Duran. “But good is not good enough.”

This is an A3 piece with zeros on it, the silhouette of a man is cut out representing people. The empty space can also portray the emptiness of those homeless people and can suggest their lack of acknowledgement in todays society.

Council continues to support our Financial Assistance Program because it directly benefits local community groups who would not normally qualify for any government assistance.
This year we are distributed $84,689 across 78 projects throughout our community.
Projects range from recreational activities, painting classes, theatre productions and dance and music therapy, to cultural and teaching children environmentally sustainable practices, mental health support groups, support for people with disabilities, and arts programs.
The projects reflect the diversity of community life in our City and support a wide range of issues of concern to Council and our residents.
They are also a sign that as a community, we are working together to ensure that for many people our City of Canterbury is truly a great place to live and work.
The disk is 2" wide. The wires were all but one little one bent in previous session. Getting them affixed to the disk was a real trial - featherweight pieces flying off and otherwise going astray - still a few to go. But these are the most important. Fjorlief was again a lifesaver.
Some interesting? issues have to do with the fact that per past notes it was a 2.25" disk, while we decided it was more of a 2" disk, but probably it was 2.25 (but didn't have to be.) That means when wires were placed, we ended up with a lot less "room for blue background " (which is acceptable...) also, more importantly, turned out that one of the hose pieces was a bit too short to reach the end of disk. We cut another piece 'l shaped' (well right angle shaped) and set it down right next to the short piece with the right angle piece along the edge of the disk. That was enough to keep it in place and when we get to sanding down the disk at the end of the process we will take that part off. No worries. We hope. Also the nose is not quite in the right place (that isn't too awful ... placing these pieces again being a booger) and the pieces for the wavy bib lines were a bit of a disaster in placement - so these are the 'important' pieces and I will fill in as makes sense next time.
Colors will be: white 1000, orange == marigold 1930, blue = cobalt 1685, black = either opaque black 1996 (usual but running low) or hard fusing black 1249 (which looks pretty good as the reverse of the ginkgo leaf piece in work now.) I had originally planned a pink nose but on reflection esp since the nose is not ideal here I will keep it orange w the rest of that fur.
