Audacia is Allseas’ [a Swiss-based offshore contractor specializing in pipelay, heavy lift and subsea construction] versatile pipelay vessel, optimized for the execution of small- to large-diameter pipeline projects of any length in all water depths, and for associated work such as the installation of risers and subsea protection frames. The concept for Audacia was developed entirely in-house and she has been operational since 2007. A length of 225 m places her between Allseas’ dynamically positioned pipelay vessels Solitaire and Lorelay. Precise maneuvering on full dynamic positioning with a stinger positioned on the bow allow Audacia to work safely in congested areas and lay pipes in very deep water. Pipeline start-ups and lay-downs are executed in very quick time ensuring any disruption to other activities near platforms is minimized. Due to her long length and ship-shape Audacia can accommodate multiple workstations and has a greater pipe hold capacity. Her independence from anchor handlers and large buffer capacity also ensure she is less dependent on pipe off-loading from supply vessels. A high transit speed, high lay speed and large carrying capacity ensure Audacia is highly competitive for pipelay projects anywhere in the world / Port of Ravenna is an Italian seaport on the North Adriatic Sea in Ravenna, Italy. It is one of the top twenty Italian ports and top forty European ports. The port of Ravenna is the main port of Emilia-Romagna. The docks are mainly on a canal that connects the town centre of Ravenna (which is inland) to the sea which is 12 km away. The offshore breakwaters are in the little towns of Porto Corsini and Marina di Ravenna. It hosts shipyards, multipurpose terminals, bulk cargo terminals and a containerized cargo terminal. There are also a big passenger and cruise lines terminal and the biggest marinas of the Adriatic Sea.

CEA Project Logistics were contracted for the transportation, assembly and installation of a metal press for a Metal Stamping and Assembly Factory in Rayong province, Thailand.
CEA received a combination of containerized and flat rack OOG cargo to their Cargo Consolidation Facility in Laem Chabang. Each container was unloaded and unstuffed. Several sections of the main bed and tie-rod uprights were assembled by CEA before transportation.
Upon arrival at the factory, the remaining press parts and sections were unloaded and assembled. As several sections were of considerable size and weight CEA erected a temporary gantry crane to assist in installation. The crane was placed over a pre-constructed pit which would house the completed press. The press bed section was lifted and placed into position and aligned on the pit floor.
Other sections were carefully lifted and moved into place with the crown section being installed last. Tie rods and bolts were tightened to complete the assembly of the major sections. The gantry crane was removed to allow a small mobile crane and Elevated Work Platform to install the smaller parts. Upon the project completion, both CEA and the client were very happy with the efficiency and expertise of the installation.
These equipment (bulldozer and a loader backhoe) had been purchased from Ritchie Brothers auction in Orlando area recently. Big Iron's shipping & logistics department will be handling the dismantling and containerization of these equipment.

"Maggie Blake's Cause is an alleyway connecting Shad Thames with the riverfront. Named after a local community activist it represents a significant victory - public access to the riverside in front of a section of Butler's Wharf.
The main Butlers Wharf building was built between 1871-73. It is the largest and most densely packed group of Victorian warehouses left in London. With the development of mechanical handling and containerization it fell into disuse with the last ship berthing in 1972. During the early 1970s it briefly hosted a number of studios. Both David Hockney and Andrew Logan, had their studios in the area but Butlers Wharf was becoming derelict. In 1981, Sir Terence Conran, with his architectural practice Conran Roche and various business partners made a bid for mixed use redevelopment which won approval from the LDDC. This included moving the Boilerhouse Project at the Victoria & Albert Museum to a new the Design Museum at Shad Thames. The Conran group focused on the waterfront, developing six buildings: the Butlers Wharf Building (with significant restaurant space, expensive apartments and some other office and commercial use) , and the renamed Cardamom, Clove, Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Coriander warehouses. Back from the river, other architects and developers converted derelict space and Victorian warehouses into and commercial complexes. With the property downturn in the early 1990s there was a gap in development - but by mid-decade a further wave of development took place.
Maggie Blake, along with other activists wanted to ensure that local people and the general public could walk freely along the south bank of the Thames. The developers wanted to restrict such movement - in particular so that the space could be exploited for commercial purposes (largely eating)."
