After a cold night the frost thaws off this 4 spotted chaser.

Thanks to all who have visited, commented or faved my photos. (It would be nice if you left a comment too) It is very much appreciated. Constructive criticism welcomed

Equality, well who could argue with the concept... not me.

So I had this aftershave and had used it just the once before, when I found it with the top off and just a little bit left in the bottle, I wasn’t really that happy, and assumed the little one had been using it, maybe it was really volatile and had evaporated with the top being left off, not the sort of thing I would do as it happens, not good. I used a little of what was left for the next couple of days.

I then just mentioned this to my other half, she thought about it for a second and said that she had been looking for hers... what? You have some too... I then found my own bottle, rather full and with its top on, rather embarrassing lol.

So in shot are two of the same brand and same named perfume/aftershave bottles with their nice coloured lines, curves and interesting IMHO glass bottles... equality well notice one of them is rather larger than the other, albeit somewhat more empty, how equal is that?

Have a great Macro Monday!

Painted Hills are a landscape of alternating bands of red and tan rocks,

The Painted Hills of Oregon are a part of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, which, as the name implies, are home to a variety of fossils.

But finding fossils takes work. That is not the case with the Painted Hills, although you do have to travel for several miles on back-roads. That said, the drive is pretty easy.

A very high resolution panorama stitched together from six individual high res photos. The size of this panorama is 20419x6009 pixels. Zoom to breath in all of the detail. You might even be able to see some of the flowers in the meadows in the foreground.

This is the view one sees from a meadow above the Sunrise area of the Mount Rainier National Park. Sunrise is approximately east-northeast of the peak.

The elevation at Sunrise is 6400 ft (1950 m), which is the highest point in the Mount Rainier National Park that can be reached by vehicle. The elevation at the peak of Mount Rainier is 14411 ft (4392m).

Empty parking lot with lots of light. Have a look at the light patterns. Front side is very uniform, rear side of the light pole is more like triangles in triangles. If you know the name of the shadow pattern please let me know.

Just to the north of the entrance to Ayr Harbour lies the wreck of the Clyde puffer KAFFIR. She was wrecked here in September 1974, when her engineer took her out of Ayr harbour under some very dubious circumstances. She went ashore, and despite efforts to refloat her the following day, her stern gear had been damaged by the grounding and she was eventually written off as a constructive total loss. Over the years, the continual action of the sea has pounded the wreck and she is now is two sections. Beyond KAFFIR the Russian warship SEVEROMORSK lies at anchor, with the Royal Navy's HMS BANGOR keeping her company. Clyde Marine Services' CRUISER is alongside the Russian ship, acting as a liberty boat for her crew.

This is SOOC with the exception of a bit of cropping. Thank you for your visit, faves and comments. I’m truly grateful for every one of them. If only someone could read the description maybe I would get some answers about lighting and brightness. This is one example that I would like some creative criticism.

We had wonderful days touring Iceland in an RV. It was foggy, rainy and windy when we approached Skógafoss, the big iconic waterfall. So we skipped it, and decided to visit the famous DC-3 airplane wreck located shortly after Skógafoss. We were drenched when we arrived at the wreck after walking in the rain for an hour. It was worthwhile though, the rain gave the scene an eery feeling. That's me on top of the wreck.

The US Navy was routinely flying over Iceland during the 1970s as a part of its unilateral defense agreement with Iceland. This DC-3 was a cargo airplane of the US Navy. It crashed into Sólheimasandur in 1973. Fortunately nobody was injured in the crash. The wreck is now decaying due to the harsh weather conditions.

I processed a realistic, a paintery, and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

A friend who is a pilot at the Swiss Airlines came to visit us from Switzerland. My son provided a tour of Stanford University for our guest. We explored the campus extensively on foot, and in this moment, they're walking ahead of me as they exit a corridor.
