Aanleg van de dijk vormde onderdeel Zuiderzeewerken, initiatief van ingenieur Cornelis Lely.

I-12 is a heavily traveled interstate in the Baton Rouge corridor and is being widened to improve traffic capacity and increase safety. These trucks are following the safety rules of trucks traveling in the right lane.
