Preparatory operations in full swing: A temporary support for the new terminus station has been erected (left hand side of the photo) and a housing for the elevater has been delivered by a truck (right hand side). The station building itself has yet to be built. (Summer of 2007)

Bauarbeiten am S-Bhf. Yorckstraße (Großgörschenstraße) - S1 - für den Austauschen der alten Brücken des Gleises Richtung Wannsee / Potsdam finden bereits seit vielen Monaten statt. Vor ein paar Monaten wurde endlich ein Baustellenschild aufgestellt und ein Ende der Bauarbeiten tatsächlich für den 20.12.2014 (!) angekündigt. Lassen wir uns überraschen mit wie viel Verspätung dieses Bauprojekt erledigt wird.

Work continues on the new pond at The Parade, Watford. Steps? Are we going to be allowed down to the water's edge to paddle?
I learned that the garden is being transformed in a major way for a special event taking place next month. A dance floor is being built over the pool! (Or maybe the guard was pulling my leg, but it does look like they are building a floor over the pool.)

I live in Henrietta Place and the whole area has been a large building site for many years and at times the impact has been extreme mainly because of the Luas Cross-City Tram Project but there have been a number of other projects and programmes including the new museum in Henrietta Street [the building site was directly outside my bedroom] and the Grangegorman College Campus project. I have just discovered that a new hotel is planned for Bolton street and there may be a new apartment block at Henrietta Place.

I Geo-Tagged these photographs so that you can identified where I visited. My photographs show a very narrow road that one needs to walk from Laughanstown Tram Stop to get to the old church and graveyard at Tully. As you can see from my photographs some people are are using the area as a rubbish dump. There are signs of extensive construction work under way in the area but some elements have the appearance of a stalled project.
If you visit this road take care as there is a surprising amount of traffic.
Laughanstown: The spelling of this name has varied considerably over time, and in some periods was almost indistinguishable from Loughlinstown, the name of which also varied. The spelling Laughanstown was adopted and fixed at the
time of the original Ordnance Survey in the 1830s. However, the evidence suggests that the name used locally was Lehaunstown, and this was noted by the Boundary Survey in the 1820s. Local usage did not change as a result
of the Ordnance Survey’s attempt to impose a new spelling.
The proposed HS2/Elizabeth Line interchange slowly taking shape. I sincerely hope they build the HS2 extension to Euston - as this location is very poorly sited for onward travel by anything other than rail.
The lines in the foreground give access to the Elizabeth Line depot. The GWR running lines are behind the site.

Vor ein paar Monaten wurde endlich ein Baustellenschild aufgestellt und ein Ende der Bauarbeiten tatsächlich für den 20.12.2014 (!) angekündigt. Lassen wir uns überraschen mit wie viel Verspätung dieses Bauprojekt erledigt wird.
Some construction work ongoing in Singapore. This is construction work happening just next to the Suntec City with a cordoned off plot and with a crane overseeing the area. The crane apparently belongs to Hyundai, or maybe the project is being overseen by Hyundai. In the background are some buildings with trees on either side and in the front, is the section of a foot over-bridge for crossing the road.
