Finnair Plc is the flag carrier and largest full-service legacy airline of Finland, with headquarters in Vantaa on the grounds of Helsinki Airport, its hub. Finnair and its subsidiaries dominate both domestic and international air travel in Finland. Its major shareholder is the government of Finland, which owns 55.9%[ of its shares. Finnair is a member of the Oneworld airline alliance.
Finnair is the sixth oldest airline in continuous operation and is consistently listed as one of the safest in the world. The company's slogans are Designed for you and The Nordic Way.
In 1923, consul Bruno Lucander founded Finnair as Aero O/Y (Aero Ltd). The company code, "AY", stands for Aero Osake-yhtiö ("yhtiö" means "company" in Finnish). Lucander had previously run the Finnish operations of the Estonian airline Aeronaut. In mid-1923, he concluded an agreement with Junkers Flugzeugwerke AG to provide aircraft and technical support in exchange for a 50% ownership in the new airline. The charter establishing the company was signed in Helsinki on 12 September 1923, and the company was entered into the trade register on 11 December 1923. The first flight was on 20 March 1924, from Helsinki to Tallinn, Estonia, on a Junkers F.13 aircraft equipped with floats. The seaplane service ended in 1936 following the construction of the first aerodromes in Finland.
Air raids on Helsinki and other Finnish cities made World War II a difficult period for the airline. Half of the fleet was requisitioned by the Finnish Air Force and it was estimated that, during the Winter War in 1939 and 1940, half of the airline's passengers from other Finnish cities were children being evacuated to Sweden.
The Finnish government wanted longer routes, so it acquired a majority stake in the company in 1946 and re-established services to Europe in November 1947, initially using the Douglas DC-3. In 1953, the airline began branding itself as Finnair. The Convair 440 twin-engined pressurised airliner was acquired from January 1953, and these faster aircraft were operated on the company's longer routes as far as London.
In 1961, Finnair joined the jet age by adding Rolls-Royce Avon-engined Caravelles to its fleet. These were later exchanged with the manufacturer for Pratt & Whitney JT8D-engined Super Caravelles. In 1962, Finnair acquired a 27% controlling interest in a private Finnish airline, Kar-Air. Finnair Oy became the company's official name on 25 June 1968. In 1969, it took possession of its first U.S. made jet, a Douglas DC-8. The first transatlantic service to New York was inaugurated on 15 May 1969. In the 1960s, Finnair's head office was in Helsinki.
Finnair received its first wide-body aircraft in 1975, two DC-10-30 planes. The first of these arrived on 4 February 1975 and entered service on 14 February 1975, flying between Helsinki and New York, later between Helsinki and Las Palmas.
Finnair created Finnaviation was established in 1979. It was formed from the reorganization of Wihuri OY Finnwings (which had started services in 1950 as Lentohuolto OY) and its merging with Nordair OY. Scheduled domestic services began in October 1979. In the early 1980s Finnair held a 60% shareholding. Finnaviation was eventually completely merged into Finnair.
Finnair became the first operator to fly non-stop from Western Europe to Japan, operating Helsinki–Tokyo flights with a modified McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30ER in April 1983. Until then, flights had to go via Moscow (Aeroflot, SAS, BA) or Anchorage (most carriers) due to Soviet airspace restrictions, but Finnair circumvented these by flying directly north from Helsinki, over the North Pole and back south through the Bering Strait, avoiding Soviet airspace. However, Finnair did not have to make a roundabout because of the Soviet regulation on this route, but the Japanese authorities demanded it (as JAL requested strongly). The aircraft was fitted with extra fuel tanks, taking 13 hours for the trip. The routes through Soviet airspace and with a stopover in Moscow also took 13 hours, but flights with a stopover in Anchorage took up to 16 hours, giving Finnair a competitive edge. In the spring of 1986, Soviet regulators finally cleared the way for Air France and Japan Airlines to fly nonstop Paris-Tokyo services over Soviet airspace, putting Finnair at a disadvantage.
Finnair launched a Helsinki-Beijing route in 1988, making Finnair the first Western European carrier to fly non-stop between Europe and China. In 1989, Finnair became the launch customer for the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the first of which was delivered on 7 December 1990. The first revenue service with the MD-11 took place on 20 December 1990, with OH-LGA operating a flight from Helsinki to Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
In 1997, the subsidiaries Kar-Air and Finnaviation became wholly owned by Finnair and were integrated into the mainline operations. On 25 September 1997, the company's official name was changed to Finnair Oyj.
In 1999, Finnair joined the Oneworld airline alliance. In 2001, Finnair reused the name "Aero" when establishing Aero Airlines, a subsidiary airline based in Tallinn, Estonia.
In 2003, Finnair acquired ownership of the Swedish low-cost airline, FlyNordic, which operated mainly within Scandinavia. In 2007, Finnair sold all its shares in FlyNordic to Norwegian Air Shuttle. As part of the transaction, Finnair acquired 4.8% of the latter company, becoming its third largest shareholder. Finnair later sold their shares in 2013.
On 8 March 2007, Finnair became the first airline to order the Airbus A350 XWB aircraft, placing an order for 11 Airbus A350 XWB (plus 8 options), with delivery started in 2015.
Finnair has suffered from many labour disputes in this period, resulting from cost-cutting measures prompted by competition from budget airlines.
On 1 December 2011, Finnair transferred its baggage and apron services to Swissport International as per a five-year agreement signed on 7 November 2011.
As of 2022, it transported about 2.9 million passengers, a substantial decrease from 2019 as COVID-19 pandemic shut down airports and airlines due to travel restrictions. At the end of 2022, the airline employed 5,325 people on average. From 2022 onwards, the Russian airspace closure has forced Finnair to suspend some services to Asia.
In March 2023, Finnair announced it would terminate domestic flights from both Tampere and Turku to Helsinki in favor of coach service due to low demand and the short distance.

A half-century into their recording career, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico are still one of the leading salsa acts in Latin music, which is all the more remarkable when you consider that founder and bandleader Rafael Ithier was well into his eighties when he and his orchestra released Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso. The third full-length studio album released since Gran Combo de Puerto Rico left Combo Records at the turn of the century, after a quarter-century of releasing a new studio album more or less every year on the label, Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso is no less exciting than its predecessors, Aquí Estamos y...¡de Verdad! (2004) and Arroz con Habichuela (2006), the latter of which won the group a Latin Grammy award for Best Tropical Album. The title track of Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso storms out of the gate as the album opener. One of El Gran Combo's best singles in recent years, "Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso" is straight fire and sets the album aflame from the get-go. While none of the subsequent tracks on the ten-track album measure up to the stand-out title track, there are plenty of highlights, among them a new version of "Achilipú," which was originally released on the classic album De Punta a Punta (1971), and "Colombia Tierra Querida." Fans of El Gran Combo know what to expect on Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso, as this group is nothing if not consistent, and the album doesn't disappoint, the title track in particular.
F1 is having another race in America in Las Vegas. They also have announced their 2025 driver team line up and even though they had a TV show and now a movie with Brad Pitt to help expand their American fan base, so far which again, F1 has not have added an all American Team with 2 American drivers.
(yes, F1 does have an American team, but no American drivers)
But how can you think you have a number one international auto racing series if you exclude one of the top countries in the world?
F1 fans has stated that there are no American drivers that are good enough to drive in F1 !!!:
I have met some F1 drivers, Mario Andretti, AJ Foyt, Bobby Rahal, Juan Montoya, Alex Zanardi, The Late, Justin Wilson, Max Papis, Cristiano Da Matta, Roberto Guerrero, Raul Boesel, Jenson Button, and Joachim Stuck, though I like them all, though some F1 drivers didn’t do that good when they tried to race in America series as NASCAR and INDY, except for Mario Andretti, and AJ Foyt and some others !!!
F1 still has their problems of the same ole teams winning all the time making the series kind of bla.
If only the F1 series owners would allow and help bring in an all American Team with 2 drivers to spice up the series and help build their American fan base by giving Americans someone to root for by having some skin in the game,
Unfortunately I think the F1 owners like it being the same ole status quo’s by the same ole teams winning all the time because they don’t want to take the chance of an American team that might consistently start winning in their series.
I say unfortunate because though I am an auto racing fan of most all racing series, sadly it looks like another year even though they are racing in America, that I just won’t care who wins in the F1 series next year either.
Luckily, I have many other more exciting auto racing series to watch next year!!!

I've never seen a white coydog before. The gentleman's name is Don Beane. Don named his coydog, who "just came up out of the woods one day," "Buckshot." I came into contact with him searching the area for the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) I'm going to be purchasing all my vegetables from in a few weeks. Satisfactoriamente avanzan las obras de infraestructura adelantadas por Prosperidad Social en los municipios de Villanueva y La Jagua del Pilar al Sur de La Guajira, consistentes en la construcción y renovación de tres parques y la pavimentación de más de mil metros viales en el barrio El Paraíso, respectivamente.
Así lo evidenció el director general de Prosperidad Social, Nemesio Roys Garzón, quien hizo un recorrido por las obras junto a la comunidad y autoridades locales de los dos municipios en donde se ejecutan estas obras con una inversión superior a los $8.300 millones.
"Estos proyectos de infraestructura llevan calidad de vida a la población de estos dos municipios del Sur de La Guajira, los terminaremos este año satisfactoriamente y están incluidos en las 65 obras que de manera histórica estamos ejecutando en el departamento con una inversión superior a los $128.000 millones durante el gobierno del presidente Santos", afirmó el director general de Prosperidad Social, Nemesio Roys Garzón.
El proyecto de construcción y remodelación de los parques 6 de Abril, La Fe y Román Ovalle en Villanueva registra un avance de cerca del 45%, beneficiará a más de 19 mil habitantes con una inversión superior a los $6.400 millones. Los espacios deportivos cuentan con cancha polideportiva, sintética y sistema de gimnasio biosaludable, brindando a la población
escenarios de encuentro, ampliando el potencial cultural y deportivo del municipio.
Por su parte, el proyecto de construcción de más de 1.000 metros de pavimento vial en el barrio El Paraíso en La Jagua del Pilar, registra un avance del 92% e incluye además la construcción de más de 1.000 metros de andenes, zonas verdes y señalización con una inversión de $1.905 millones.
La obra mejorará la calidad de vida de la comunidad que ya no padecerá afectaciones por el polvo o el encharcamiento en época de invierno. Se mejorará la conectividad del barrio con otros sectores, optimizando y reduciendo tiempos de desplazamiento. La obra, generó 35 empleos y beneficiará a unas 170 familias del barrio El Paraíso.
En La Jagua del Pilar también iniciará próximamente el mejoramiento de condiciones de vivienda de 100 hogares.

Gabriël Metsu (1629–1667) was a Dutch painter of history paintings, still lifes, portraits, and genre works. He was "a highly eclectic artist, who did not adhere to a consistent style, technique, or one type of subject for long periods".[1] Only 14 of his 133 works are dated.
Life

Gabriel Metsu was the son of Jacques Metsu (c. 1588 – March 1629), a tapestry worker and painter originally from Hainault, who lived most of his days at Leiden,[2] and Jacquemijntje Garniers (c. 1590 – 8 September 1651), the widow of a painter with three children of her own.[3][4] It is not known when and where Gabriel was baptized; most likely in a Catholic hidden church but the baptismal records did not survive. Gabriel grew up on Lange Mare and his stepfather, a skipper, must have supported his education, because his mother was a poor midwife.
In 1648 Metsu was registered among the first members of the painters' guild at Leiden, but in 1650 he ceased to subscribe.[2] Metsu was possibly trained in Utrecht by the Catholic painters Nicolaus Knüpfer and Jan Weenix.[5]

Around 1655 Metsu moved to Amsterdam; he lived in an alley on Prinsengracht, next to a brewery and near his relatives, the children of the sugar refiner Philips Metsu.[6] In 1657 he got into an argument with a neighbor. (It was alleged that Metsu left a brothel at six in the morning.) Gabriel moved to a house on the canal side, where a daily vegetable market was held. In 1658 he married Isabella de Wolff,[7] whose father was a potter and mother the painter Maria de Grebber.
At the onset of the 1660s Metsu turned for inspiration to the art of the "fijnschilders" from his native Leiden. Metsu was responding to the market of Dou's paintings,[8] who sold his paintings all over for exorbitant prices. Metsu may have also influenced Pieter de Hooch.
For a while Metsu trained Michiel van Musscher and Joost van Geel. Metsu died at the age of 38 and was buried in the Nieuwe Kerk. Three bells were tolled; a habit in use with Dutch Catholics at that time. His widow left for Enkhuizen, to live with her mother. Isabella was buried in the Zuiderkerk in 1718.

The Sick Child
According to Arnold Houbraken, Metsu was taught by Gerard Dou, though prior to about 1653 his influence is not apparent.[10][2] One of his earliest pictures is The Rich Man and Lazarus at the Strasbourg Museum, painted under the influence of Jan Steen. Under the influence of Rembrandt he produced the Woman taken in Adultery, (1653) a large picture in the Louvre. To the same period belong the Dismissal of Hagar, in the Museum De Lakenhal, Leiden, and the Widow's Mite at the Schwerin Gallery.[2]
Around 1653–1654, Metsu began placing his figures in domestic interiors and specialized in genre scenes on small panels. Old people were among Metsu's favorite thematic borrowings from Dou during his first years in Amsterdam.[11] Metsu often painted young (single) women who either fed pets,[12] sold goods at market (fruit, vegetables, fish, poultry, or meat), or were grocery-shopping themselves for these provisions.[13] Another significant painting from this period was The Vegetable Market in Amsterdam, in the Louvre, for which the Encyclopædia Britannica Eleventh Edition praised ", the characteristic movement and action of the dramatis personae, the selection of faces, the expression and the gesture, and the texture of the things depicted".[2]
Houbraken ends his biography with the comment that he was "of impeccable reputation", but he may have meant this ironically. Often, the subject of a Metsu painting was based on a popular emblem from an emblem book. This can give the painting a double meaning, such as in The Poultry seller, 1662, showing an old man offering a rooster to a young girl in a symbolic pose that is based on a lewd engraving by Gillis van Breen (1595–1622), with the same scene.[14] The accompanying verse is:
"Hoe duur dees vogel vogelaer?" "hy is vercocht" "waer?"

The Sick Child in Rijksmuseum from c. 1664 "prompts the thought that Metsu strongly admired Vermeer's work. [The latter's Woman with a Water Jug was sold as a Metsu in 1877.[15]] It also provides us with a hint about what he thought was lacking in Vermeer's paintings: emotional involvement of the viewer".[16] This is in compliance with other painting, The Doctor's Visit, where there is emotional involvement in the painting of a tragic event involving the ill woman.[17]
One of the finest collection of Metsu paintings was owned by Gerrit Braamcamp in the 18th century; he owned eight of them, including "man writing" and "woman reading a letter".[18]
Carpets
At least thirteen of his paintings show carpets and he probably used the same model.[19] He included several fine examples of minutely depicted floral and cloud band carpets in his works and even a silk oriental rug, as well as so-called "lotto" rugs which he for some reason, in contrast to his meticulous rendering of the floral carpets, depicted only in a very sketchy fashion.[20]
Two paintings of the Hinlopen family
Around the year 1661, Metsu won the patronage of the Amsterdam cloth merchant Jan J. Hinlopen and painted his family more than once in a fashionable surrounding. There is still some confusion about two paintings by Metsu — the Portrait of the family Hinlopen, now in the Gemäldegalerie, which for a few decades was referred to as The Family of burgomaster Gillis Valckenier, and Visit to the Nursery — in the Metropolitan Museum.[21] There is some general resemblance. The latter belonged to Jan J. Hinlopen.
Visit to the Nursery
In 1662 Jan Vos published a poem about this painting.[22] It might depict the Hinlopen family, but as the sitters have not been identified this painting it is more a genre work than a portrait. In 1721 Arnold Houbraken recalled the latter painting as the largest and finest work by Metsu he had ever seen.[23] Franits calls it one of his most intriguing images. What makes this painting especially interesting is its provenance.[8] The provenance is well-known, except for between the years 1666 and 1706.[24] In 1680, after the burial of his brother and guardian Jacob J. Hinlopen the paintings were divided in lots and given to his daughters [25] but none of the paintings or painters is mentioned.
The scene is set in an imaginary room of unrealistically large proportions. The father gestures deferentially while a maid dutifully fetches a chair for this esteemed visitor.[26] The chimney resembles the one in the "schepenzaal" of former Amsterdam townhall, also painted by Pieter de Hooch.[27] There is a seascape on the wall and Persian carpets on the table and the floor.[28] The carpet on the table is divided into compartments, which are partly vermilion red and partly purple red, and shield-shaped. The dark blue color of the borders on the carpet are relatively unusual.[29] The dog in the painting could be a Bolognese dog. Implementación deportiva, consistente en balones de fútbol, básquetbol, y voleibol además de dos sets con diversos juegos para párvulos conteniendo aros, balones de goma, cuerdas, y túneles de psicomotricidad, entre otros, además de un juego de camisetas entregó la alcaldesa Virginia Reginato a la comunidad estudiantil de la escuela Ministro Zenteno, recientemente afectada por un incendio.
La donación la realizó la jefa comunal viñamarina al director del establecimiento Rodrigo Ojeda y al alumnado en compañía del director de la Casa del Deporte Javier Aravena y el encargado de educación de la Corporación Municipal, Leonardo Gálvez.
“Me pareció muy necesario entregarles implementación deportiva la que será utilizada y aportará a la práctica del deporte de los estudiantes. Esta escuela que sufrió en mayo la destrucción de algunas de sus salas, de igual forma continuó su labor educativa, y para potenciar su trabajo, especialmente en el aspecto deportivo, hemos llegado con este material, con el objetivo seguir promoviendo y difundiendo entre los alumnos de nuestros establecimientos educacionales la actividad deportiva y que demuestra la preocupación que tenemos por este plantel para que continúen con una enseñanza normal”, señaló la alcaldesa Virginia Reginato.
La escuela tiene una matrícula de 500 alumnos, y al respecto su director, Rodrigo Ojeda, agradeció a la alcaldesa señalando que, “este aporte de implementos deportivos es muy bien recibido y reafirma el apoyo constante que hace la alcaldesa y el municipio a los establecimientos de educación para que realicen sus tareas formativas en este ámbito”.
En tanto Javier Aravena indicó que se acogió esta iniciativa entendiendo que ellos perdieron toda su implementación y era necesario reponerla. “Además que ellos participan siempre en la Olimpiada Escolar y en las escuelas de deportivas y de esa forma pueden segur acercándose más al deporte”.
En la misma oportunidad, los alumnos del citado establecimiento participaron de una grata jornada recreativa junto al team de la Casa del Deporte.

When I got off the overnight bus at Haldwani after 8 sleepless hours and dragged around a 15 kg rucksack to catch another local bus to Ranikhet at 4:40 in the morning, I had a feeling I wasn’t quite prepared for what I’d signed up for. And while nursing an increasingly worsening backache, when I hiked another couple of kilometers to reach a shared taxi stand to take me to my rural home stay further away from the city, all the memories of me just sitting around in my air conditioned Bangalore office, listening to songs on YouTube and changing fonts on presentation decks came back to me. I wanted to go back in time, grab myself by the shoulder and yell at myself for being ungrateful about those small, little pleasures. Ah, the good life!
In spite of my fascination for the hills, I have to admit that it has been a culture shock of sorts. This place is beautiful but also hauntingly silent, especially in the evenings (at 7) as everyone heads back home to their families. That’s 5 hours before my usual sleeping hour! I’m now staying in a cozy little place overlooking the mountains. My host is an immensely sweet woman who cooks incredible food. Even then, while I zone out to the faint buzzing of the insects in a very, very quiet night I almost miss the incessant noise of traffic in Bangalore till the early hours of the morning. It is funny how even seemingly unpleasant things can become a part of our comfort zones.

◦We do not train athletes to become bodybuilders, powerlifters or Olympic style weightlifters; rather, we train athletes to become better athletes. We train athletes to develop the components of athleticism; strength, power, flexibility, speed, agility, footwork, endurance,metabolic condition, body composition, mental focus and motivation. ◦We utilize the principle of specificity, and therefore use free weight training as much as possible. Free weights allow athletes to move athletically, and not in a fixed motion pattern like most machines. We train movements and thereby train the muscles that produce these movements.
◦We utilize explosive power training (plyometrics, split snatch, power shrugs, split cleans, presses, jerks, and power squats). Athletes with great power and explosiveness, for the most part, dominate athletics. With all other things being equal, the athlete with the greatest power and explosiveness will dominate his opponent. We follow a sequential progression, in order to maximize safety and optimize success, for all explosive power movements.

The 53rd annual Bon Odori Festival at Camp Zama was held Aug. 4. The festival is consistently the largest bilateral event of the year for U.S. Army Japan, this year attracting more than 30,000 visitors to the installation. The festival featured live entartainment, games for children, a variety of ethnic foods, bilateral sports, and a fireworks show.

The United States Army Garrison Japan and its 16 supported installation sites are located in the island of Honshu and Okinawa in Japan. The USAG Japan mission is to support the Headquarters, U.S. Army Japan / I Corps (fwd) to ensure mission readiness and the quality of life of the Army community in a sustainable, transforming joint and combined environment.
The USAG-J area of responsibility spans 1,500 miles from north to south of Japan. Camp Zama, home for both HQ USARJ and USAG-J is located approximately 25 miles southwest of Tokyo in the cities of Zama and Sagamihara in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The Camp Zama base cluster includes Sagamihara Housing Area and Sagami General Depot.

Few weeks of the consistent training had paid off and the result was better than expected. As I was training, along the way, I met new people, learned new stuff about running and obviously, became more fit :)
And then, on Sunday morning, when I was cycling to the starting line seeing parents with their kids on the back of the bikes or just warming up before the run, all of a sudden I felt excited. Memmories when my dad was taking me out for a run suddenly coming back...

Tell me the absolutely superb show! Gripping, intelligent, funny and wonderfully dark. The standard of acting is consistently high, as is the writing. All the characters are believable and interesting, managing to convince at each and every turn as they slowly descend into a life of criminality. The show seems to have an uncanny way of building tension, even in the normally mundane. Someone told me that it is Breaking Bad dvd release, is that true? I bought four series to watch and then somebody tell me the fifth season is split into two parts, each consisting of 8 episodes and broadcast over the course of two years; well, the show is really good for men Bryan Cranston is the good part of this show ; I felt ir is realistic,touching and breathtaking!

A half-century into their recording career, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico are still one of the leading salsa acts in Latin music, which is all the more remarkable when you consider that founder and bandleader Rafael Ithier was well into his eighties when he and his orchestra released Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso. The third full-length studio album released since Gran Combo de Puerto Rico left Combo Records at the turn of the century, after a quarter-century of releasing a new studio album more or less every year on the label, Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso is no less exciting than its predecessors, Aquí Estamos y...¡de Verdad! (2004) and Arroz con Habichuela (2006), the latter of which won the group a Latin Grammy award for Best Tropical Album. The title track of Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso storms out of the gate as the album opener. One of El Gran Combo's best singles in recent years, "Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso" is straight fire and sets the album aflame from the get-go. While none of the subsequent tracks on the ten-track album measure up to the stand-out title track, there are plenty of highlights, among them a new version of "Achilipú," which was originally released on the classic album De Punta a Punta (1971), and "Colombia Tierra Querida." Fans of El Gran Combo know what to expect on Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso, as this group is nothing if not consistent, and the album doesn't disappoint, the title track in particular.

Satisfactoriamente avanzan las obras de infraestructura adelantadas por Prosperidad Social en los municipios de Villanueva y La Jagua del Pilar al Sur de La Guajira, consistentes en la construcción y renovación de tres parques y la pavimentación de más de mil metros viales en el barrio El Paraíso, respectivamente.
Así lo evidenció el director general de Prosperidad Social, Nemesio Roys Garzón, quien hizo un recorrido por las obras junto a la comunidad y autoridades locales de los dos municipios en donde se ejecutan estas obras con una inversión superior a los $8.300 millones.
"Estos proyectos de infraestructura llevan calidad de vida a la población de estos dos municipios del Sur de La Guajira, los terminaremos este año satisfactoriamente y están incluidos en las 65 obras que de manera histórica estamos ejecutando en el departamento con una inversión superior a los $128.000 millones durante el gobierno del presidente Santos", afirmó el director general de Prosperidad Social, Nemesio Roys Garzón.
El proyecto de construcción y remodelación de los parques 6 de Abril, La Fe y Román Ovalle en Villanueva registra un avance de cerca del 45%, beneficiará a más de 19 mil habitantes con una inversión superior a los $6.400 millones. Los espacios deportivos cuentan con cancha polideportiva, sintética y sistema de gimnasio biosaludable, brindando a la población
escenarios de encuentro, ampliando el potencial cultural y deportivo del municipio.
Por su parte, el proyecto de construcción de más de 1.000 metros de pavimento vial en el barrio El Paraíso en La Jagua del Pilar, registra un avance del 92% e incluye además la construcción de más de 1.000 metros de andenes, zonas verdes y señalización con una inversión de $1.905 millones.
La obra mejorará la calidad de vida de la comunidad que ya no padecerá afectaciones por el polvo o el encharcamiento en época de invierno. Se mejorará la conectividad del barrio con otros sectores, optimizando y reduciendo tiempos de desplazamiento. La obra, generó 35 empleos y beneficiará a unas 170 familias del barrio El Paraíso.
En La Jagua del Pilar también iniciará próximamente el mejoramiento de condiciones de vivienda de 100 hogares.
