This shows that even if we don’t change our ways and still keep destroying the planet, our collective civilization is doomed. However, it’s not all gloom because the planet will prevail just as hit has before. No matter how much the environment had undergone it also comes back. There are numerous examples, the extinction of the dinosaurs was caused by an asteroid crashing into earth causing oceans of fire and ash. Eventually, foliage and life came back leading to the Pleistocene. You can also see this in modern day with abandoned buildings being overgrown and lost within weeds.
Anna just liked the name of this town. We got a few okay photos, but overall, it really wasn't worth stopping (apologies to anyone who lives there or loves it there).

Smoking was banned on the ChristianaCare campus several years ago, but that doesn't mean that people stopped smoking. This area next to a bench close to the entrance shows the consequences.

It suddenly reminded me of my youth when 10cc was one of my favourite bands and when they split up Godley & Crème made an album called "Consequences.
This is close to the picture on the cover of the album.
Not one of my best........it's here for the memories !!
A dead rose for a focal point with crisp highlights given the sun light giving off a cold hearted feel; this makes me feel sad because there are many love stories out in the real world that have fallen. This dead rose symbolises the consequences of a bad past as it's colour is not fully visible.
The road in front of our house was just repaved the other day. The shiny new asphalt is much smoother to drive on, but the process took an entire day and the air was filled with the stench of tar well into the evening.
Today when I was walking across the new paving to the park, I noticed this leaf. To me, it is a reminder that the actions we take involving the Earth have consequences.
I'm not against the repaving; the potholes turned into small lakes during the rainy season. But I think it's a good idea never to forget that nature will always be affected by what we do, and not always in good ways.
Seeing this leaf was disconcerting for me, just a small reminder that we so often do what we will with the world without considering what the consequences may be. Sometimes these consequences are immediately devastating, like the recent BP oil spill; sometimes, they're latent and add up, like the accumulation of wasted money and destroyed trees that comes when people don't recycle. Some may be more drastic and in need of immediate attention than others, but all play a part in how healthy our home is.
I once saw a quote that said something like this: "Earth is the only home we have." Sometimes, we seem to forget that. Let's do our best not to.
Neighbor's house had a pipe break, which sprayed our house with water all night. Mother of all ice dams.

It is so annoying how the British want to give us consequences! We did what we needed to do at the Boston Tea Party!

The consequences of me trying to climb into an abandon building to take some pictures. I got a cut on my finger, and big scratches on both of my forearms. I didn't even feel it. It's all good.
