"If we care of our Water, we care of our Children"

For Kogi Culture, water is the beginning of everything, if we don't protect it will just be chaos. Here in Colombia we see the direct consequence of cutting trees everywhere. Where there are trees it is raining everyday. Where they cutted everything for bulls (to eat) meet everyday or intensively cultivate bananas for exportation, it is now dry with huge water issues... Everything in life must be balanced, otherwise earth will take its rights.

In 1973 a United States Navy DC -3 plane ran out of fuel and crashed on the black beach at Sólheimasandur, in the South coast of Iceland. Fortunately, everyone in that plane survived. Later it turned out that the pilot had simply switched over to the wrong fuel tank. The remains are still on the sand very close to the sea.

Text from Guide to Iceland.

Truth or Consequences is this very small New Mexico town that is famous for being featured on a radio show in 1950. It's a town with hot springs, a great brewery (also known as Truth or Consequences Brewery), and a slower pace. Unfortunately, it is not known for it's vegan food, of which there really isn't any. I mean, have you ever heard of putting sour cream in guacamole? Is this some torture scenario for avocados I haven't heard of yet?

Anyway, I went to Truth or Consequences the night before Brandon Johnson was elected as mayor of Chicago. For those of you who don't know about local politics, Brandon Jonson is a progressive and he was running against Paul Vallas, who is a nihilist. This made it a pretty easy choice for people who care about humanity. Anyway, I floated in that Truth or Consequence hot spring and I meditated for the health of the world and my city to make the right choice. I had so much anxiety and fear that my city would succumb to the darker forces of nature, like a political black hole pulling us all down so our noses scraped the ground. But, the next day, humanity was saved a little bit.

Truth or Consequence would also be a really weird alternate version of Truth or Dare...like easy one there, I choose Truth over having a Consequence or could truth be a consequence? There's a wormhole of logic here but I've already rambled enough. Here's a photo of a small town not a lot of people know about. Please don't try to be an influencer by traveling there just to Instagram it. It's charming and I'd like it to stay that way, even if they need to learn how to make guacamole without the dairy....

Here's more information about this town and this includes actual facts that don't sound like stream of conscious gobbly gook by someone listening to Youth Lagoon, drinking morning coffee, and wondering when the sun is going to fully come out today.

Bøyabreen is a glacier in the Fjærland area in Sogndal Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located inside Jostedalsbreen National Park, and it is a side branch of the large Jostedalsbreen glacier.

The glacier retreated very much over the years. It used to fill the valley, Retreating glaciers is one consequence of global warming.

... a Sanskrit term expressing tersely the principle of action and reaction, or the law of consequences. Actions always produce outcomes! ... Like all fundamentals, the law of consequences is based one simple truth, actions always produce outcomes. ... The law of consequences states that every result or outcome (effect) happens for a reason (cause). The word karma refers to one of the basic human philosophy by which it is able to explain the meaning of human life and to resolve its enigmas and seeming injustices. It is a Sanskrit term expressing tersely the principle of action and reaction, or the law of consequences.

Operation Bluestar

Amritsar (India) - In June 1984, the Golden Temple was the scene of a massacre, of which the Shiks were the victims. Occupied by a group of Sikh separatists under the orders of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, after the failure of negotiations with the Indian Federation, the attack was ordered by the Prime Minister of the time: Indira Gandhi.

At the end of the battle, 493 mutineers were killed, including 100 women and 75 children. To which must be added the 86 wounded who were not executed. The Indian military meanwhile, would have lost 334 men (86 dead and 248 wounded).

The Golden Temple, stained with the blood of the insurgents and desecrated by the boots of the assailants, is considered an irreparable insult by the Sikh extremists. This military attack called "Operation Blue Star", could not go unpunished according to the Sikhs. It will result on October 31 of the same year, the assassination of Indira Gandhi, killed by her two bodyguards of Sikh faith.

Today, Sikhs and Hindus have buried the hatchet and avoid evoking this tragic episode in their recent history. Reason prevailed in the face of resentment. In their sacred Temple, the Sikhs once again welcome all visitors, offering room and board to those who request it. Without distinction of social status or religion. A principle to ponder.

Those days whole province of Quebec is covered by layer of smoke. Forest fires rages for a month now. This brings heaviness to the heart.

It feels like sunset all day

Let me stay in this peaceful place,

Where there's never a worry nor care,

Time is of no consequence here.

Given the choice I'd always be there,

The place where I can work hard, or not,

The pace is solely determined by me,

Time to count all the good things I've got,

The attraction here is for all to see,

When days are hard and I want some space,

Let me stay in this peaceful place.

The hill on which the church stands was continuously excavated from the 15th century onwards, with the consequence that the church now stands on the edge of a near vertical slope.

"Auto-focus" let me down, but I like how she is planted on that spot. Camille has been forced to stay inside for a few days lately--once when there was a lot of fledgling activity in the yard, and a couple of times for willfully refusing to come in at night. (If she is out all night, she has to spend the next whole day indoors.) As a consequence, Camille is in a readjustment phase. Here, she would like attention, but she is wary that I might pick her up and take her inside.

it begins with an open half-shell, which is covered here and slowly goes over to the hewn natural product in order to then continue to abstract this form, turning into a cultural product again.

Depending on the viewing angle, each mirrored sculpture takes on the form of the neighboring sculpture in the outer contours.

Art meets an expansion joint in the concrete and a round lid to cover a technology shaft ... I particularly liked this encounter with the banal everyday life ...

Visitors to the Graben spa park are given the impression that the work of art is making its way through the reeds to the bank.

The Celtic boat (“Chiemsee Fischer”) is cut from two centimeter thick sheet steel, painted and hot-dip galvanized. The work of art is approximately 5 m long and 2 m high. It was placed on 3 steel pipes that were previously inserted into Lake Chiemsee and is intended to provide an atmospheric look back at the early history of Seebruck and Lake Chiemsee from the shore.

The template for the work of art is the Hjortspring boat, which was the first plank boat around 350 BC. was made and has been proven accordingly.

The work of art was supported with public funds as part of the European leader+ program.

In addition to the artistic approach to the subject, a replica of a Celtic dugout canoe near the sculpture conveys a real idea of early boat technology. The exhibit is covered and has information about Celtic history.

As a design unit, the work of art and the covered information point form an attractive historical station on the archaeological circular route that passes here.

He offered them comfort once. A choice. A way out.

But choices come with consequences. And they chose to run.

Now, the room is cold, the light too sharp, and his voice—

soft as silk, sharp as a knife.

"You ran. I followed. Let’s see what that earned you."

They´re facing the one the world fears.

And tonight, he doesn’t need to raise his voice to make them beg.

*****************************************************************

Insects around the world are on the verge of extinction, More than 40% of insect species are in decline and a third are threatened, researchers say. Their death rate is eight times faster than that of mammals, birds and reptiles. During the last thirty years, the total mass of insects existing in the world has decreased by 2.5% each year. At this rate, scientists worry, they could disappear within a century. " It's very fast. In ten years, there will be a quarter of fewer insects, in fifty years, more than half, and in a hundred years, there will be no more ”Insects are“ essential ”for the proper functioning of all ecosystems , explain the researchers. They pollinate plants, recycle nutrients, and serve as a staple food for other animals. Their disappearance "will have catastrophic consequences both for the ecosystems of the planet and for the survival of humanity" One of the major impacts concerns the many birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish that feed on insects. "If this food source is taken away from them, all these animals will starve", "If we do not change our food production methods, insects as a whole will be on the road to extinction in a few decades", write the researchers, for whom intensive agriculture is the main cause of the decline of insect populations, especially the heavy use of pesticides. Urbanization and climate change are also important factors.

The palace, which also served as a Franciscan monastery, was built during the reign of King John V (1707–1750), as consequence of a vow the king made in 1711, to build a convent if his wife, Queen Mary Anne of Austria, gave him offspring. The birth of his first daughter, princess Barbara of Braganza, prompted construction of the palace to begin. The palace was conveniently located near royal hunting preserves, and was usually a secondary residence for the royal family.

This vast complex is among the most sumptuous Baroque buildings in Portugal and at 40,000 m², one of the largest royal palaces. Designed by the German architect João Frederico Ludovice, the palace was built symmetrically from a central axis, occupied by the basilica, and continues lengthwise through the main façade until two major towers. The structures of the convent are located behind the main façade. The building also includes a major library, with about 40,000 rare books.[citation needed] The basilica is decorated with several Italian statues and includes six historical pipe organs and two carillons, composed of 92 bells.
