A visit to the "Musée de la Civilisation Gallo-Romaine", Lyon, France, on October 27, 2022, accompanied by my SLR Miranda Auto Sensorex EE.

The camera was loaded with a CineStill 400 Dynamic (400D) and configured with the loupe finder X5 and x15 and its normal lens Auto Miranda E 1:1.8 f=50 mm fitting original Miranda 52mm Skylight filter.

The film was exposed for 400 ISO following the readings of the camera (measuring mode "S") or a Minolta Autometer III fitted with a 10° finder. Indoor exposures were hand-held typically at 1/30s and full aperture. The film was then developed using a local C-41 development local service.

About the camera :

This camera was initially sold out on March 15, 1972 to a first customer in Abbeville, France, and resold as a second hand by "Photo Ciné Saint Lazare", Paris, France one year later at spring 1973.

The camera was sold to me in March 2022 with the three finders available, three lenses Miranda Auto E, 1:1.8 f=50 mm, 1:2.8 f=28 mm, 1:2.8 f=105 mm all equipped with Miranda Skylight 52 mm filters.

EE stands for "Electric Eye", a system of diaphragm automated by the circuitry operating two CdS cells located behind the reflex mirror and making the photometry independent of the finders. The Miranda EE has two measuring mode : the pondered A (A as "Ambiant") and the S (spot) with the possibility to "memorize" the light value standing the release button at mid course as on modern camera's. the whole photometric system is fully functional on this camera and gives reading similar to a trusted external silicium electronic photometer (Minolta Auto Meter III).

This is probably as close as i will get to seeing a Lysander flying at night as if dropping or picking up an agent from behind enemy lines in France than i ever will, so even though its dark, this is what it should look like, probably even darker. Yes the weather was horrible, dark wet and damp. www.shuttleworth.org

G. H. Residence was conceived less as a house, but more as an extension and outgrowth of the limestone and aquifers of the Central Texas geography. The roof structure is configured so as to create a natural basin for the collection of rainwater, not unlike the vernal pools found in the outcroppings of Enchanted Rock. These basins harness additional natural flows through the use of photovoltaic and solar hot-water panels. The water, electricity and heat which are harvested on the roof tie into an extensive climate conditioning system which utilizes water source heat pumps and radiant loops to supply both the heating and cooling for the residence. The climate system is connected to geothermal ground loops as well as pools and water features thereby establishing a system of heat exchange which minimizes reliance on electricity or gas.

The primary formal gesture of the project inserts two long native limestone walls into the site. The walls serve as the boundary demarking domesticated space with the vegetation outbound of these walls being native while the interior spaces are more lush and tropical. The program of the residence is configured along the stone walls each of which serves as the spine for the public and private wings, respectively. The offset between the main wings establish an exterior courtyard which will serve as an extended living space for much of the year. The siting of the boundary walls and building elements was informed by the presence and preservation of three mature native oaks. The house enjoys close proximity to both Emma Long Metro Park and

The masts in this section appear to be going to be configured as "Headspans", is with wires cross-ways from which catenary and power lines are suspended.

The signal, whose "feather" can be seen peeping above a bush in the left distance, looks to have been replaced, can anyone confirm or otherwise?

It turns out that:

"The [masts] aren't headspan masts - just fairly big STCs. I think you'll find that the track interval is so large that a single back-to-back cantilever would have too great a walkout for the Bonomi booms; you'd end up with two STCs anyway. Bolton Station is the same, through 4 and 5.

It will be a very cold day in hell before designers even suggest headspans, not that we would with standard portal booms coming in at 20m and non-standard ones up to 40m ..."

According to a senior engineer.

When the SNABase service starts up, it initializes the various network transports that it is configured to use. Retrieval of the domain name of the local computer is part of this startup process. If the SNABase service is set for automatic startup, a timing issue in this process may occur when the server restarts. If this occurs, the SNABase service mistakenly interprets that it has already cached the domain name of the local computer. The SNABase service then tries to use a blank domain name when it opens a mailslot. This attempt does not succeed, and the symptoms that are listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article may occur.

An SNABase Internal trace file (Napintx.atf) of this problem looks similar to the following:

St Davids Cathederal,

Pembrokeshire, Wales.

St Davids is one of the great historic shrines of Christendom. Nowhere in Britain is there a more ancient cathedral settlement, for it reaches back fourteen centuries and survived the plunder of the Norsmen in the 'Dark Ages'. St David chose this wild, beautiful region as the site of his monastery in the 6th century and you will find his shrine in the purple-stoned cathedral, which nestles inconspicuously in a grassy hollow beneath the rooftops of the tiny city.

The large, cruciform cathedral, dating from 1176, is a treasury of fine things. The nave has a breathtaking beauty, embodying three centuries of craftsmanship which now make up a scene of medieval splendor. There are superb examples of the woodcarver's art in St Davids - just gaze upwards at the decorative roof - and the choir stalls date from the late 15th century. Here, note the wit and zest of the medieval mericord carvings (carvings on the hinged seats in the choir stalls); they represent a trend away from the decorative severity of earlier times, and show that even in religion, humor had its part to play.

History fills every crevice of St. Davids Cathedral, but rather than give a description of the cathedral and its history, I'll describe those parts of the cathedral that impressed us the most. The first thing we noticed about St. Davids were the large number of tombs and effigies lining the aisles of the cathedral. Most are the tombs of past Bishops of St. Davids and effigies of notable Welsh figures. The most grand of these is the tomb effigy of Bishop Henry Gower (1328-47) an important builder of both the cathedral and the Bishop's Palace. Not far behind in splendor is the tomb of Edmund Tudor, Earl of Richmond, father of King Henry VII, the founder of the Welsh-born Tudor dynasty. His tomb is elaborately decorated with brass figures and heraldic emblems, occupying a place of great honor in the middle of the high alter at St. Davids.

I had configured the settings for the camera before handing it to my friend to snap this photo. Philosophers, begin discussing the concept of authorship. For those interested, the "costume" I used for this shot is as follows: two-piece cream-colored striped suit from Mani by Giorgio Armani, merino wool sweater in baby blue by J.Crew, classic-collar white dress shirt by Ike Behar, a woven pattern silk tie by Polo, dark brown wingtip bluchers wingtip dress shorts by Florsheim and laurel green socks by Tommy Bahamas.

ZJ173 is configured as a UK based training airframe and does not carry the required avionics fit for frontline use. Given it's clean state, it would appear it has never deployed to the US on Crimson Eagle or gone on a Herrick deployment.

Some new and re-configured jewelry created for my Etsy shop in early September, 2012.

These necklaces feature what I call "Watercolor Beads"- I hand shape a bead out of properly conditioned polymer clay, cure it in the oven, sand it and smooth it. After all of that, I dye/paint the surface of the bead with a mix of inks, dyes, and liquid paints and then coat it with several coats of Varathane to make it colorfast and weatherproof.

Thanks for looking :)

The beads on these necklaces are actually designed to fit on all "Euro" style jewelry (Pandora, Troll, etc)- they are lined with sterling silver and are designed to slide off the clasp of the necklace I made and easily will slide onto "Euro" jewelry.

The film was then developed using a local C-41 development local service.

...first some coding/configuring/trying and then some relaxed reading. Nice!

West Bull Creek Preserve.

Taken with my new umbrella and light stand; umbrella configured to reflect flash from very close by but at 1/8 power I think.

I took the "One Light Workshop" by Zack Arias last May, and I still don't have all the gear to really take advantage of what I learned (the last thing is a flash remote, but Pocket Wizards are expensive). Still, for close-in shots of Darwin or knitting, the off-camera flash and umbrella and stand have expanded the field of possibilities, and given me a lot to play with.

Installing Ubuntu on my old clamshell iBook today. I got this screen for 35 minutes. Doesn't inspire confidence. (Now it's hanging on 'Testing security update repository' too...)

Although not configured as Quick Reaction Alert aircraft, for some reason 'Rebel 60' came out of the shelters with two live AIM-120A/B rounds loaded. As is normal when only two are carried, they are asymmetrically loaded, front left and rear right.

A configured Leviton telcom and A/V wall enclosure intended for residential use.
