Catholic Court Church (Katholische Hofkirche)
The Catholic Court Church (Katholische Hofkirche, since 1980 Kathedrale Sankt Trinitatis) is a Catholic church located in the center of the German city of Dresden. The Hofkirche is the cathedral of the Diocese of Dresden-Meißen.
The church was built in Baroque style by Gaetano Chiaveri under Elector August III of Poland between 1739 and 1755.
During the bombing of Dresden on February 13, 1945, the church was hit by several bombs. The roof and vaults inside the church collapsed; the outer walls were damaged. After the war, reconstruction began and lasted until 1965.
The Court Church has been the episcopal church of the diocese of Dresden-Meißen since 1980, and the cathedral was named Trinitatis Cathedral.
On the balustrade surrounding the nave are 78 statues of saints and on the tower are four allegorical figures: Faith, Love, Hope and Justice. All are designed by the Italian sculptor Lorenzo Mattieli. The tower has a height of 85.5 meters. The church contains altar paintings by A.R. Mengs. The pulpit and statues of the Church Fathers are by Permoser. The Silbermann organ dates from 1753.
The burial vault contains 49 members of the House of Wettin, including Saxon electors and kings, and is also home to the heart of King Augustus II of Poland, the father of August III of Poland.
Residential palace (Residenzschloss)
The residential palace was originally a Romanesque castle from the 13th century. This castle was expanded in the 15th century and was then the residence of the electors and kings of Saxony for many years. In 1701 a major fire destroyed the castle, whereupon a new castle was built in the baroque style.
The castle was largely damaged in World War II, but restored after the war. Today some important art collections from East Germany are on display, including the Grünes Gewölbe, a collection of royal jewelry, jewelry and table decorations.
The courtyard is used for various events.

… The London Forum was a typical 1930s Art Deco cinema. It had a second life after the war as an Irish dance hall, and finally re-invented itself as a concert hall, still one of the key attractions of Kentish Town.

It is a fantastic building, the sound in the concert hall is incredible, - all designed by an Austrian architect firm COOP HIMMELB(L)AU.
I cannot wait to go there again when the corona restrictions make it possible.
Here you see the "Philharmonie" concert hall in Luxembourg. It's also located on the Kirchberg in Luxembourg.

The Elbphilharmonie is a concert hall in the city of Hamburg, Germany. It is one of the largest and most acoustically advanced concert halls in the world. The glass construction resembles a hoisted sail, a wave or a quartz crystal, and is placed on top of an old warehouse (Kaispeicher A, built in 1963), Built to a design by the Herzog & de Meuron studio, with a final height of 108 metres.
The public viewing platform situated at the junction of the old harbour warehouse and the modern glass structure above it is a magnet for visitors, to enjoy the breathtaking 360° view of the city and harbour from a height of 37 metres above ground level.
The day that I was waiting for the blue hour..I went to the restaurant of the concert hall...and was playing this SONG I really like this version...Great lyric!

Harpa is a concert hall and convention center located in Reykjavik, Iceland. Its design is influenced by columnar basalt that is pervasive in Iceland due to its volcanic origins.
While most of the glass panels appear to be uniformly transparent, some small number of them are of a different color and are reflective. I suspect that these panels are made of dichroic glass, which reflects a different color than it transmits.
For a geometry geek such as myself, Hapra is a dream subject. I think that I shot more photos of Harpa than another subject in Iceland :).

This picture I was able to take during a flickrmeeting with about 30 persons in wonderful Hamburg. We were standing on a 1 m wide riverside directly at the river Elbe. It was a great adventure, girls and boys !!
