Leaving my desk for the night. My screen saver displays news headlines from the Post.

Taken for Day in the Life of... for March 20, 2006.

This is an old computer camera I found at home. So I decided to open it up.

I never cease to be amazed by my grand-kiddos ability to master modern technology :-)

I finally realize that I have a desk I could clean off and put things on to take photos of rather than just sticking with the floor ...

This little guy, in one of our classrooms, certianly needs no assistance with this alphabet game.

When my friend and colleague found this old school computer I couldn't sustain my will to take this shot. It nearly asked for it ;)

The computer is remake of an Apple II for Bulgaria - it is called Pravets (or Pravetz)

I custom painted the monitor and keyboard on my girlfriends computer last weekend when I was left unattended for too long. ;)

I spent most of the day on my back, resting, today. I had a wisdom tooth pulled last night and this morning I had an adverse reaction to the pain killers. This morning during breakfast I passed out. It took me about two hours just to make it over to the couch, where I remained for the bulk of the day. As the evening set in I made my way to our bad. Shortly thereafter Paige and mom joined me.

I had the iBook on the bed in case I wanted to use it. It wasn't open or on, so when Paige went to fiddle I figured there was little harm. At the very least, she'd get the "button pushing" out of her system. A couple minutes later Marna noted that not only had she opened it, but she had also turned it on and was bouncing around random applications. Let's just hope all our data is still intact.

Lolo Pio's old type writer, its still very usefull and convenient.

The computer I use MATLAB to interface, through serial, with the motor controllers.

He sees us using this often enough, and likes to copy what he thinks we're doing. Here he has got back into it from standby and is looking at a photo of some risen dough.

Mac Mini, external HDD and 20" TFT monitor

My mac is actually getting a bit old now, being a G4 1.25GHz. (Maybe I'll replace it sometime this spring.) I have now bought a Macbook! Pictures might show up later.

Love the Mac Mini concept.

As tagged by Stuart of muffinresearch, here are some of my computer-related books. The rest are in an IKEA shelf in the other room (gems like the Perl Cookbook, Commodore 64 internals and Experimental 2D and 3D animation from 1987)

Taken in the college's very own Mac computer room yay Macs!

When you work graveyard shift (midnight to 8am), like I did last night, the weirdest things start to happen. I think my keyboard was trying to tell me something ...

This is where I spend a lot of time viewing and processing stuff, using a Comcast router to access the Internet in my apartment. Elsewhere in the complex, Barkley's "Resident" or "Guest" WiFi is available for use by my iPad Mini and iPod Touch.

The round mirror toward the right in the image is for monitoring CNN, MSNBC and other channels for recent news shown on the TV behind me .... while I'm on the computer.

Yeah, a new camera today!
