The desk on the far left is Gokhan's desk. He sits at it fairly frequently. The desk to the right of it contains a communal lab computer.
I've finally taken the plunge. Aside from MacPorts being rather broken, most stuff seems fine. The Screen Sharing thing is very useful.

Strange mode my computer got into when I put it to sleep. The computer indicates it is asleep (and fans have stopped, etc.) but there is still an image on the monitor from the time the machine was running.
The computers are made use of by the community. The Library does not charge for use of computers. The computers have internet access that is free of charge to the community.

The first project of my day was following the afternoon's NASCAR Cup Race in Bristol. Thanks to NASCAR.com I can listen to the PRN radio broadcast of the race while following a live leaderboard and several other viewing options on my computer screen.
Scully was a regular Linux machine (x86 hardware) and Fowley was Linux (Debian I think) running on an old Indy to give me extra space.
