CTG design and manufacture hydraulic pipes and ducting for water and fuel. They are used in many complex systems. We developed a composite pipe technology which allowed the precise tuning of electrical resistivity - a demand of an aircraft fuel system. The pipes have a single part count and hold aggressive fluids at pressure. We currently supply fuel ducting pipes for the next generation of long haul commercial aircraft.
Students are in the initial stages of building a newly designed kayaks. They'll sand the plugs before the molds are infused with resin.
This is the Composite image of my quad. A 2013 Yamaha Grizzly 700, fitted with 27" Black Diamond Tires and Bush bumpers, front and back.
Was testing my product photography setup, and decided to put together a little spoof ad for panasonic.

I had the opportunity to create this composite with my nieces. It was a great experience to see them get into their creative side. Fun and challenging to get all the photos that were needed to create this.

I love to mash things together. Texture, nature, light, whatever. The dark, high contrast results appeal to me. I like doing this to video too.

The camera takes a base image and then sequential images at preset timing and just adds the new light sources , hence the car trails... very clever.
This image isn't the sharpest as I had my mini tripod on a loudspeaker case !!!

If you seriously wanted to print a copy, I think you'd want to ask me to do some exposure adjustments on the individual frames. not a large job, but a job.

Bit of a departure from some recent images; except that it required use of a 36mm extension tube! Just an experiment - but there may be hidden meanings. The multiple meanings of the word "circuit", the superimposed elecro cardiogram that slowly fades away, the brief span of light between areas of darkness, the Photoshop radial-zoom effect that creates the impression of rushing forwards... oooh! ;-)

Another example of portraiture without skill or equipment, through the magic of photoshop. The four images on the left were combined with a variety of layer masks, level adjustments, and clone brushing to produce the composite image on the right that we sent out with our Christmas cards this year.
I second-guessed my zoom settings in the middle of shooting, and then the best smiles ended up in the wrong batch, so I had to do some resizing to make things match up. The flash-lit kids don't quite blend right with the mostly non-flash background, but it works pretty well if you don't stare at it too long.

For those interested in photo manipulation, this is the original, base photo for the four layer composite on the previous page (page 4 of 5). The red bird painting and my sunlit face are the dominant elements of this image.
I wanted to focus on the camera, which is hard to see at best, so I wanted my face in shadow.
So I set up the still camera where it had been for this photo ( the big camera and Mary were gone by then) and took a new photo of the scene, without me in it, for background.
Then, I took a new photo of me pretending to be fooling with the lapel mike (the wire is just a TV cord). That way, there was a reason for me to be looking down, with my face in shadow.
So, I used the background photo to cover where my face is in this image (very close to the big camera) and blanked out that area.
Then I dropped the new me into the picture.
That created a problem: I was now, the front layer of the picture and covering the tripod of the camera, when I was supposed to be behind it.
So, I put a cleaned up capture of the big camera tripod in front of me.
This took some doing. Call me crazy but I'm happy now.
