I bought these cheap Nested Dolls from (I think) the Rocks Market in Sydney. I got them with the intention of re-imagining them as something else. Earlier I'd got some Santa ones, with the same purpose in mind. It seems there are two schools of thought for nested dolls; representing things which are "inside" each other, or things that are simply related. I went for the latter - electronic components.
Here I've started to paint the largest doll.

"Electrocefa" magnetic electronic project kit.
See red-cyan anaglyph version.
Cross-view stereo photo. To view, cross your eyes until you see four images. Then slowly relax until the two middle images snap into one. Your right eye should point towards the left image, and your left eye towards the right image. See one of the Stereo/3D pools for more info.
What's it good for:
This is like a Magnetix set, but the connecting rods are electronic components, so it's very easy to set up circuits and try changes. I remember when I was a kid, I had one of those Radio Shack "150-in-1" kits where you would connect wires to springs and the resulting mess of wires didn't exactly stimulate you to experiment by changing things!
You can also mix-and-match with normal Magnetix pieces (they don't conduct from one end to the other) to create... ermmm... embedded systems ;-)
It's a pitty there are so few components, though. And as far as I can tell, they don't sell expansion kits (yet!).

InMoov Right Hand/Arm components laid out for a photo. Feels good to see them like this but, so much work still. I was very fortunate that hairygael's design is very good and since good - easy to print. My machines were really printing well and I do not use a raft so --- The process was to see hairygael's COOL design, load it to my PC, process and print. The pick up the parts, admire them, nit-pick a few tiny stray strands of plastic as you get ready to screw it together. EASY!

I hooked everything up here to do a last check to make sure everything works. It appears to. I'll have no idea how it actually sounds though until it's all in the box.
When the amp is put on the back of the box, I will connect the speaker wires to the outputs on the inside of the amp and ignore the screw terminals.

Aside from the A4 sheet of card all the mechanical components are cut from MDF. Dimensions are given on the drawing.
I've completely reworked the hadware board. The basics remain the FPGA module Terasic, the DE0-Nano. This board contains a lot of I / O lines and is super fast. Everything is on a single-sided PCB. The output transistor drivers ( 20 pieces 500 mA/ 45V outputs ) are in SMD to save board space. The DE0-nano FPGA board is as a Peggy-back board mounted on ther driver PCB. Via the USB connector, the FPGA program can be re-written.
What does this interface:
* 20 open collector outputs via JP10 and JP11.
- Camera meter
- Camera shutter
- X1 flash1 signaal ( manual or TTL mode flash1)
- Q1 flash1 signaal ( TTL mode flash1 ) or X3 flash3 manual mode.
- X2 flash2 signaal ( manual or TTL mode flash2)
- Q2 flash2 signaal ( TTL mode flash2 ) or X4 flash4 manual mode.
- DIR steppen motor board.
- Step steppen motor board.
- Enable steppen motor board.
- 1 Spare output.
- 4 outputs used to drive the color background module. Via JP12
- 6 outputs used to drive the Cree foreground module. Via JP9
Enc1 connector:
2 inputs from a rotary encode frontplate. Used as general digital input value.
Enc2 connector:
2 inputs from a rotary encode frontplate. Used to move the step motor of the lineaire stage module in manual mode.
Range switch input
4 input switches to change the analog sensitivity range of the color pot meters.
Drive of the H-Bridge color shutter module:
- 6 direct FPGA outputs via JP13 and JP17.
Matrix 5X8 keyboard 40 pushbuttons. via JP14 and JP18.
LCD1 display 4X20 chars via JP16.
LCD2 display 4X20 chars via JP15.
4 I/O connectors via JP2 still no assigned function.
Connection via the general GPIO3 connector from the top of the FPGA DE-Nano board.
2x13 pins connected to JP5 and JP6.
8 analog inputs 12 bit resolution via JP8.
- 4 inputs are used for the color setting.
- 1 input used for the stepper speed
- 3 free analog inputs, no function now.
Logic analyser signals:
- 8 levels out the FPGA module via JP3.
Encoder and micro switches from the lineaire stage as feedback position via JP4.
- EncA.
- EncB.
- Enc home.
- min end switch.
- max end switch.
3 I/O connectors via JP1 still no assigned function.
Power 5V and 3.3V connectors.

CUSTOM - COLNAGO built using New and NOS components.
Old components combined with more Modern clincher rims/tyres and brakes. The bike was built to be ridden, not purely decoration.
The Build weight is around 9.2 kgs.
The frames origins From France, built by a custom builder, the brass welded lugs have pantgraphed colnago logos. Fork is from the same year and is Colnago factory Part. The result has extremely tight geometry.
