Here's a resin comparison with all the different colors in my house right now.

The best match, both in person and in the photo in any light, is Leekeworld NS with Iplehouse NS. Luts NS is an acceptable match for Leeke, although it's slightly yellower IRL (not quite as pronounced as in the photo).

Obviously, DF-A normal pink isn't anywhere close to matching Leekeworld NS. DF-A must have changed their NP resin color sometime during late 2012 or early 2013.

I will be selling the custom CNC milled solid brass adapters with focus confirm chip for $135 and $99 Canadian without the chip plus actual shipping, taxes in. High price compared to most adapters out there but most are junky and have mass production cost savings. I have the first 15 official production units on hand and ready to go starting with s/n 001. This first batch of 15 is the signature edition and therefore each will be signed by me. I bought this 400 f/4.5 to see how far it focuses and I'm getting over 400 feet. Sweet hand holdable lens actually, faster and at first appearance sharper than my old 100-400mm L IS zoom with the only downside being a tiny bit of purple fringing wide open. The guy I bought the lens from in Toronto had an FD 200 2.8 and it focused to 38 feet so doable for portraits.

In the theme online==offline, nice to see these kind of semi-live price comparisons creep into the real world. Semi-live is a handicap because imagine the customer experience of somebody actually remembering this price and going to the C1000 across town and seeing a lower price there. Cheated, the feeling would probably be and maybe this could induce a local price arms race between chains.

Stuff like this is probably highly controversial in supermarket middle-manager land, but AH has enough shops and enough business analytics to be able to user test stuff like this thoroughly, maybe this is a user test.

This is Cup 1 (the cup I filled) after removing all of the layers of bricks. As you can see, when just dropped into the Pick a Brick Cups they fill nearly 1 and a half cups. An extra 140 bricks fit into the cup when stacked strategically into the PaB Cup. This lowered the price per piece from .031 cents a brick to .024 cents per brick. This same amount of bricks would have cost $21.84 per cup instead of the $15.74 per cup that it cost me, a savings of $6.10.

Thanks Lee! Had a blast at the store and during lunch my friend.

This image is part of a set of images comparing the Sony A7S to the Canon 1Dx and Sony A7R specifically for astro-landscape photography. Please visit the set to read about my goals for this evaluation:

This chart says it all. It was taken from DxoMark with lines added by me. The Canon 1Dx line is very similar to the Nikon D4s and the Sony A7R line is very similar to the Nikon 800(E), so they were excluded. What this chart shows is exactly what I found in 3 weeks of testing.

The Sony A7R (and Nikon D800) are the best cameras for daytime shooting at ISO100 due to their Dynamic Range advantage and amazingly high resolution. The Sony A7S is the best camera for astro-landscape due to both the ISO advantage AND the DR advantage at high ISOs.

You can tell it is different here

Kind of a before and after shot of my two M79's, the custom one has a new paint job, with weathering and a yellow tiger stripe pattern just like the one in Apocalypse Now, and a range finder. I guess this photo can be described as an M&M, M79 and another M79! I know, that was crap. :)

More practice. The picture on the left is a jpg right from the camera. The one on the right was a raw file that I processed and then touched up, reducing the harshest shadows and wrinkles, and changing the downturn on the lips slightly. This was the second time I have used Photoshop CC; I had to use it before to process the raw image from my camera, because my older PS CS5 couldn't do it.

Lots to learn.

Used this toy for comparison. It was based on actually production props so it's got a great level of detail if you've ever seen a real one up close. Mine ended up being just a tiny bit larger, but only by about one stud in length.
