D12640. A somewhat 'compact' caravan; I think it's a 1972 Swift Sprite, but I'm open to correction. It's on display at the Cotswolds Motoring Museum in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Bourton on the Water.

Blood Compact is an old ritual where two people drink each other's blood as part of a native custom to seal a friendship, a pact or treaty, or to validate an agreement.

Energy saving light bulb I just bought is 6 times the cost of a normal bulb.
The brand is www.kosnic.com/ It says it is "protected by patents". Is that why the cost is so high I wonder? Patents?

Fantastic little compact camera, takes regular 135 film, but it's a half frame. The leaf shutter is pretty quiet. Built quality is excellent. Lens stops down to F16, 1/250 shutter. Has a weird hot shoe, but regular sync port. Aperture blades are square(4) on a 28mm 2.8 lens. Built in reflective light meter,(mine doesn't work so I have no clue as to if it's good)

De Corvair was Chevrolet's eerste compact-car, en van een voor dat merk ongewone constructie: motor achterin, met luchtkoeling.
Naar verluidt was Edward N. Cole, toenmalig chief-engineer bij Chevrolet, nogal gecharmeerd van het ontwerp van de Volkswagen Kever.
De Corvair was ook verkrijgbaar als 4-deurs sedan, als stationwagon en zelfs als bestelbusje, de Corvair 95, die ook een pick-up-variant kende. Allen met dezelfde constructie, dus met de motor achterin.
De coupe was de bestverkochte versie.
Later werd deze compact-car genadeloos neergesabeld in de publicatie "unsafe at any speed" uit 1965, van de journalist Ralph Nader. Hij toonde aan dat de wagen een enorme onbalans had en daardoor een slechte en risicovolle wegligging.
De publieke opinie was negetief omgeslagen, en viel voor Chevrolet niet meer bij te stellen. De dagen voor de Corvair waren geteld. De introductie van de nieuwe Camaro vormde de genadeklap. In 1967 eindigde het Corvair-experiment voor Chevrolet.

The incident occurred in the bedroom of a friend. I have always been fascinated by these cryptic names... Remarkeable from the graphic designer’s point of view is the extensive use of Helvetica.
This is what the trash compactor at my apartment building looks like after the Thanksgiving holiday. I've 'fixed' the compactor and cleared the area before, but I just couldn't bring myself to be the trashperson again. Shame on me.
