Lake Como, in Northern Italy’s Lombardy region, is an upscale resort area known for its dramatic scenery, set against the foothills of the Alps. The lake is shaped like an upside-down Y, with three slender branches that meet at the resort town of Bellagio. At the bottom of the southwest branch lies the city of Como, home to Renaissance architecture and a funicular that travels up to the mountain town of Brunate.

...que corre y
acaricia las rocas
por las que pasa...
asà quiero ser.
Disfrutaré de mis cansancios
y de mis arrebatos de risas...
de la soledad elegida
y de un abrazo compartido.
Y es que vivir...
Como is a city and comune in Lombardy, Italy. It is the administrative capital of the Province of Como. Its proximity to Lake Como and to the Alps has made Como a popular tourist destination and the city contains numerous works of art, churches, gardens, museums, theatres, parks and palaces: the Duomo, the Basilica of Sant'Abbondio, the Villa Olmo, the public gardens with the Tempio Voltiano, the Teatro Sociale, the Broletto (the city's medieval town hall) and the 20th century Casa del Fascio. Como hat zwei voneinander unabhängige Bahnverbindungen nach Mailand. Während die Magistrale in die Schweiz etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums hält (Como San Giovanni), endet die andere Strecke direkt am See.
Como has two separate train connections to Milano. The main station operates alle direct connections to/from Switzerland and is situated outside the city center. The local trains from Milano Nord end in the terminus Como Lago close to the lake.
Early morning in Como.
Unfortunately, the previous evening we arrived here during the blue hour and by the time I got to the lake with my camera it was already too dark. I woke up at 6 the following morning to find the sky much less interesting and also discovered that some of the city lighting seems to be switched off post-midnight.

¡Cómo podrÃa mirarte,
para entender tu dolor!
No quiero ser compasivo,
sólo quiero comprender
esos ojos doloridos
que sufren y a la par serenan
a quien se acerca a mirarte
con su alma arrepentido.
¡Cómo podrÃa mirarte,
y sentir en mi tu amor,
ese que se desborda
en aquel que a ti se acerca
y deja un estigma visible
en el alma de quien vive
en alerta con su fe!
¡Cómo podrÃa mirarte
y ponerme a tu lado
para curar tus heridas
y entender tu proceder!
¡Cómo podrÃa entender
ese enorme sacrificio
de sufrir y padecer
y entregarme en tu mirada
toda tu filosofÃa
de la vida y del hombre
que nadie llegamos a ver!
¿Cómo podrÃa mirarte,
a los ojos y de pié!
Johann Sebastian Bach - Cantata Jesús alegrÃa de los hombres
