Children with special needs have the right to free education yet most are deprived of this basic right because educational institutions are ill-equipped to create an appropriate environment for learning, a fault that is largely overlooked most of the time. What society at large fails to realise is that these children will need education to become self-sufficient, which incidentally is their basic right!
World Vision has been advocating for the rights of children with special needs for decades now. We help children living with disabilities to overcome the stigma by providing them with an access to education like every other child. Through our sponsorship programmes for special children, we make sure that they are saved from the trouble of looking for financial assistance, which if deprived of would disrupt their chances of a brighter future.
