As child sponsorship promises, Rahul’s family also benefitted. To help augment the family’s income, economic assistance was given to Rahul’s father. He was helped to start a business of making “Poite” (auspicious thread used by Hindus). Rahul’s mother is a member of World Vision’s Self Help Group, Ekta, which works in their community. With the increased income, Rahul’s parents are now able to take good care of their son.
