Adult common gulls are 40–46 cm long, noticeably smaller than the herring gull, and slightly smaller than the ring-billed gull, also differing from the latter in its shorter, more tapered bill with a more greenish shade of yellow, as well as being unmarked during the breeding season. The body is grey above and white below. The legs are greenish-yellow. In winter, the head is streaked grey, and the bill often has a poorly defined blackish band near the tip (sometimes sufficiently obvious to cause confusion with ring-billed gull). They have black wingtips with large white "mirrors". Young birds have scaly black-brown upperparts and a neat wing pattern, and grey legs. They take two to three years to reach maturity. The call is a high-pitched "laughing" cry.

The Orb Web Spider Araneus Diadematus is a common garden spider, which spins a large web in relation to its own size; normal size range 8mm to 20mm. The males are significantly smaller than the females and male fatalities can occur during courtship. Eggs are laid in the autumn and the female will guard her eggs; refusing to leave them to hunt, until she dies. In the following May, newly hatched spiders are coloured yellow with a dark patch on the abdomen.

Common Snipe are medium sized, skulking wading birds with short legs and long straight bills.
Normally quite elusive.
The common emerald dove, Asian emerald dove, or grey-capped emerald dove (Chalcophaps indica) is a pigeon which is a widespread resident breeding bird in the tropical and sub-tropical parts of the Indian Subcontinent and east through Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, the Sakishima Islands of Japan and Indonesia. The dove is also known by the names of green dove and green-winged pigeon. The common emerald dove is the state bird of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

A male Common Yellowthroat peers out of an alder tangle on Brier Island, Nova Scotia. These warblers skulk around in a variety of brushy and marshy habitats throughout North and Central America.
Common Coot / fulica atra. Straws Bridge, Derbyshire. 08/02/21.
Despite a frozen lake surface, this bird had several spats with another Coot. I witnessed noisy interactions and ungainly chasing over the ice which always resulted in the 'intruder' skittering further away.
There were no physical attacks, yet if the image is viewed large, there looks to be dried blood on the Coot's beak.

I am quite fortunate to have these wonderful Common Bronzewings as residents on my property. It can be quite easy to overlook the species seen regularly, however this is not the case for me with these birds as I just love the array of colours they exhibit. From the eye catching rainbow of colours of the iridescent feathers on the wings, to the understated pastel greys, browns & maroons of their plumage. And of course that fawn & white coloured forehead of the male.
This male was waiting out a decent Summer shower.

An easy to recognise individual because of the scarring on it's red forehead plate. Maybe the result of a fight with another bird or perhaps a physical defect/disease? It did seem rather lethargic despite it's bright eyes, so maybe an old bird?

Common silverline is the species of blue butterfly found in Asia. These butterflies have yellow with reddish ban bordered by black or brown. These ban have center silverline. Thats why they are known as Common Silverline. They prefer lightly wooded areas and open garden also. Their flight is fast. They basically seen during May to October month.
