Auf der Weserstraße mit ihren zahlreichen Geschäften fällt der prächtige Giebel des Hauses Nr. 11 ins Auge. Hier befand sich seit dem 17. Jahrhundert die Universitätskommisse.
Sie diente als Gasthaus und Studentenwohnheim der „Academia Ernestina“.

On Weserstraße with its numerous shops, the magnificent gable of house number 11 catches the eye. The university commissions have been located here since the 17th century.
It served as an inn and student residence for the "Academia Ernestina".

One of the two commissioned paintings now completed and living in their new home in Vilamoura.
The familiar view actually has the convent of Monchique on the top of the hill. My client, who describes herself as an Atheist asked me to substitute the convent for some other building. Something I have never been asked before. to omit any religious building!

La parrocchiale che fu costruita nel XIII secolo in stile romanico dai Monaci Benedettini, che vi officiarono fino al XIV secolo, conserva ancora oggi colonne e capitelli del Duecento. Nel XV secolo fu elevata al titolo di parrocchia. Subì nei secoli successivi interventi di restauro e abbellimento, alcuni di questi commissionati dal pontefice Adriano VI, fino ad un nuovo restauro nel XX secolo alla facciata e al campanile. Al suo interno sono conservati alcuni dipinti di diversi pittori liguri e una statua in legno dello scultore olandese J. Dyck raffigurante il Martirio di san Sebastiano. Pregevole inoltre la fonte battesimale del Quattrocento.

The Humble Administrator's Garden has an entire section full of bonsai trees.
The Humble Administrator's Garden is one of the prized gardens in Suzhou (it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and was originally completed in 1526 and took 16 years to build. In ancient times, prominent Chinese men would retire and build huge gardens as a symbol of their wealth and taste. This garden was originally commissioned by Wang Xiancheng and was designed by Wen Zhengming.

I had a weird block where I felt like I had to share all of the commissions that happened for my sale earlier this year all at once as a collage rather than simply sharing them individually like I always have, but finally realized that all that was doing was preventing me from posting art lol So here is Talula!
The Grade II Listed early Trinity House-commissioned, symmetrical lighthouse complex, on Caldey Island, a small island off the coast from Tenby in Pembrokeshire, South Wales.
A painted plaque on the lighthouse records 'Erected A.D. 1828 by the Corporation of Trinity House and light exhibited for the benefit of navigation, January 26th 1829.' The lighthouse was engineered and built by Joseph Nelson, a notable lighthouse engineer from Leeds, who was responsible for the construction of a number of lighthouses in the British Isles. The lantern appears to be a replacement, possibly of 1875 (the date on the associated oil store), together with the optic. The lighthouse serves as a marker for coastal traffic and displays an intermittent flashing light with 2 red sectors.
