* My comments on this trip to Canada may have appeared a bit negative but can I say I loved my time in Jasper . I had a chat with a guy in a bar in Portland Maine a few years ago he described his town as “ Gritty but pretty “ . This perfectly describes Jasper it is not twinky and over manicured like Banff and Whistler but feels like a real town. I loved the fact that the railway dominates Jasper from our hotel room we could see endless goods trains slowly making their way through Jasper . We found a perfect breakfast place called the Sunshine cafe with the best coffee I had in Canada. The Jasper brewing company was also a favourite with great local beers and good food .

Jasper is located in the Athabasca River valley, at the confluence with Miette River and which ever way you leave the town you are immediately in dramatic and beautiful landscapes . I particularly like the delicately pale Athabasca River that circles the town in this shot it is gentle and serene but as we found at the Athabasca falls it could become a violent torrent

A chunky, large-headed bird of open areas, usually found perched on wires or flying around in search of insects. Soft gunmetal gray with white underparts. Often found pressed together in pairs or tight groups when at rest. Sometimes flies in the same areas as swallows and swifts, but has a much thicker build, with triangular, somewhat starling-like wings. The only woodswallow throughout most of its range. Song is a somewhat myna-like series of sweet warbling and harsh chattering. Also gives nasal scolding “nyeh”, comparable to a jay or treepie. (eBird)

Frequently seen but not photographed. I finally found a pair on the power lines, then this one came a little closer and I could get a better look. The only angle I had was into the sun so he was pretty shadowed in the final image. A little editing brought out his subtle colours.

Despite the name and appearance, this bird is not a swallow. It is actually in the same family as the Australian Magpie!

So I wanted to make another figure for Liam contest, and I just thought of making this guy!

I have to admit, I haven't actually played The Force Unleashed, but I've seen my brother play the campaign.

Anyways, Galen Marek-

The legs are fully painted, with a label for the sash and straps.

His torso is fully painted, and fairly simple for the most part, with the toughest being the black lines.

The arms are gray, with flesh painted on, and the wrist area wrapped in Etape.

The shoulder armor is made from shiny duct tape. His head is TFA rebel, with the eyebrows changed. I chose a new Finn hairpiece for him as well.

The lightsaber is made from a rod and TLG's mold.

Overall, I'm super happy with it!
