It was so good to be back in Lincoln for a weekend after missing it last year. We love Lincoln, it's such a beautiful city.
Saturday started out pretty grey but dry enough to get out and enjoy the day. I spent a lovely afternoon in the Arboretum - what a beautiful place!
Brayford wharf. The lilies were in flower!
Thanks for your amazing comments!

thepeacechurch: ❤❤ @homelessfriend
lorisezhi: One way to keep warm.
thephilosopherstoned: Yes Lori @lorisezhi , but not nearly as cold as where you are I think!
lorisezhi: No. There isn't a lot of homeless people around here. Maybe living out of cars... In a larger city up on the west coast, where the weather gets worse than here, they have a problem. Google "Traverse City, Michigan." Still, it is nothing like around California or New York City.

My first weekend in Milton Keynes since September 2017. Pink Punters has changed a lot since I was last there - the attic bar is now a swanky cocktail bar and it looks great!
It was our good friend Melissa's birthday so we had a meal and a birthday cake presentation in TGI Fridays.
We also helped Helen out for her first real outing in public too. And saw some friends I haven't seen in ages!
And the next day I had Ikea meatballs for the first time and they were delicious!
Back at the hotel with Helen ready to go to Pink Punters.

Always a joyful day!
Hull Pride. I was very lucky to be part of two chosen families this day - my LGBT family and the AFO Choir who were singing to the parade as we went past.
Joy, love, support, inclusion. It was wonderful. We had our lovely friend Claire with us as well as Rebekah, and we met up with Alex in the Hop and Vine for a drink afterwards.
Mind you, Gemma and I were both wiped out by the time we had been for a post-parade dink in the Hop and Vine. We went home straight after that. And wow, did we struggle to stay awake for the rest of the day!
There was an 80s night happening that night at Humber Social but there was no chance we could make that. We did the best we could to stay up but we were in bed by 8.30, ha ha!
Having a drink in the Hop and Vine with Alex before heading home.
There is a longstanding Christian tradition of analogy between Divine Love's transformation of the believer's soul and fire's alchemical transformation of base elements into refined ones. In the history of Christian devotional life, the woundedness of the self has often been seen as the opening for God to enter, and the dissolution of the self has been seen as the preface to God's recreation of that self. Similarly in alchemy, the destruction of materials precedes their transmutation. In the polyptych, the theme of woundedness is manifest in three of the four saints: Roch, Peter Martyr, and Sebastian. And of course, fire is the attribute of the fourth, St. Vincent Ferrer. Because of the way alchemical and devotional tradition enfolded each other, it is possible to read Christian devotional motifs in alchemical terms, as Iulia Millesima does with this polyptych in the following passage: www.labyrinthdesigners.org/alchemy-art/andrea-da-murano-a...

Friday. And all you can eat breakfast set us up for the day. Friday night we went for amazing food at Lawson's restaiurant (one we had found last visit to Lincoln) then on to Carousel then Popworld to finish the night.
We always meet lovely people when we're out!

In Savile Row. We've not been in here since May, I think the last time was.
