Not been posting much lately. Lots going on. My unit is health hazzard and I have been contacting a myriad of different places to try and escape it.
No human should have to fight like this for health matters.
I am going to be on TV. It got quite emotional I am sorry.
I found this fella today to make some images with. He was not wanting to make photos but we got there.
I have also been getting a few random attacks when trying to stand up for myself abut my house also was being threatened by a resident where I live until I decided enough is enough now I think he knows next time I will fight and pretty typical he has shut his mouth.
I do not want to live that way. Anxiety causes me physical pain though so I have to nip it in the butt.
Police are a toothless tiger especially when they chose to side with the bully.
I used to respect Police.
At this point I am not looking forward to Christmas but I also want no pitty invites.

Il s'agit de la 2ème randonnée dont j'ai eu le temps de trier les photos grâce à mon absence totale de connexion Internet pendant 2 semaines à Quiberon cet été. Et j'y ai pris un énorme plaisir. J'avais laissé de côté le tri des photos de cette rando car je savais que je risquerais de sélectionner beaucoup de candidates. Mais en même temps, il me tardait de ne pas laisser croupir ces photos.
France. Alpes. Massif du Dévoluy. Photo prise lors d'une rando en A/R au cours de laquelle nous sommes allés avec ma femme au Col de Charnier en passant par le Vallon de Charnier et en partant du hameau de Lachaup. Je me réjouissais de faire cette rando et je n'ai pas été déçu car elle figure parmi nos randos préférées de tous les temps ! ❤️
Cette photo a été prise au pied de l'arête EST du sommet de Roche Courbe, juste avant de rejoindre le Vallon de Charnier.
Le sommet qui trône au centre s'appelle Roche Courbe (2259m) et il fait partie des sommets que je trouve les plus beaux. Sur la droite, on voit la face EST de la Tête de Vallon Pierra (2512m). Quand on voit la face EST ou la face SUD de ce sommet, on a l'impression d'admirer une magnifique pyramide d'Egypte et au cours de cette randonnée, ce sont justement les 2 faces de ce sommet que nous avons eu la chance de contempler.
Ce Vallon de Charnier est un concentré du Dévoluy, dans tout ce qu'il a de plus beau ! ❤️
Sur la droite de la photo, je trouve que les nuages dessinent une espèce d'étoile filante. 😉

Double-barred Finch
Scientific Name: Taeniopygia bichenovii
Description: The Double-barred Finch is one of the long-tailed grass-finches and is notable for its 'owl-faced' features, having a white face bordered black. It is grey-brown, with white underparts banded black above and below the chest, giving the species its name. The wings are black, spotted white, the tail is black and the bill and legs are blueish-grey. Juveniles are dulller, with indistinct chest bars. These grass-finches usually feed in flocks and have a bouncing, undulating flight pattern.
Similar species: There are two subspecies of Double-barred Finch: the eastern race has a white rump and the western race has a black rump. Otherwise, distinguished form other finches by its 'owl-face'.
Distribution: The Double-barred Finch is found in the Kimberley region through to west of the Gulf of Carpentaria (the western race annulosa), and then from Cape York down the east coast to south-eastern Victoria (the eastern race, bichenovii).
Habitat: The Double-barred Finch prefers dry grassy woodlands and scrublands, open forests and farmlands. It is never far from water.
Seasonal movements: Nomadic; only an occasional visitor to extreme south-eastern part of range.
Feeding: The Double-barred Finch feeds on the ground on seeds. It will also take insects, especially when breeding. It usually feeds in groups or flocks of up to 40 birds.
Breeding: The Double-barred Finch builds a rounded nest, with a side entrance and short tunnel into a inner chamber lined with fine grass, feathers and plant down. The nest is placed between 1 m to 5 m from the ground in pandanus or thick shrubs, or even in the eaves of a building, often close to an active wasps' nest. Both parents incubate and feed the young.
The nestlings of Double-barred Finches beg with their heads down to one side. This is unique to the grass-finch and waxbill family.
Calls: A brassy, drawn-out 'tzeeaat, tzeeaat'; also a low 'tat tat'
Minimum Size: 10cm
Maximum Size: 12cm
Average size: 11cm
Average weight: 10g
Breeding season: After rain in north and inland.
Clutch Size: 4 to 7 eggs
Incubation: 14 days
Nestling Period: 21 days

Your 'Comments' do not always appear in 'Notifications' or Flickr mail, so, I am sorry for any delay in responding. Often your 'Comment' is only spotted 'On the Page' on the day, that I see it. (seen ONLY when replying to someone HAS 'Commented' on the image, and I see a notification)
As I stated in the previous shot, I had to clean the glass bowl very often to get the effect that I wanted.
At the end of the day, my hands had many different colors on them: blue, green, yellow, red and purple.

Si je le pouvais, j'aimerais partager sur Flickr d'autres photos de cette rando. Mais si je veux publier au moins 1 photo de toutes mes autres randos, ce n'est pas possible avec mon rythme de publication actuel trop faible. Du coup, j'ai publié un album de 81 photos de cette rando sur le site Altituderando (où j'ai un compte avec le même pseudo). France. Vosges. Alsace. Haut-Rhin. Vallée de Munster. Photo prise lors d'une rando en aller-retour effectuée avec ma femme, au départ de la Station du Gaschney, jusqu'au sommet du Hohneck (1363m).
La photo a été prise un peu en contrebas du sommet du Hohneck, du côté du Col du Wormspel.
On y voit la partie supérieure de la magnifique Arête des Spitzkoepfe, bien recouverte de neige et entourée d'un peu de brouillard, en contre-jour. Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir contempler ce spectacle pendant quasiment une demi-heure avant que le brouillard ne se dissipe complètement. 😎🙏
Déjà en temps normal, cette arête me fascine à chaque fois. Mais là, avec son manteau neigeux, elle était encore plus belle. Et puis l'ingrédient magique qui l'a magnifiée pendant 30 minutes, c'est ce brouillard providentiel, sublimé par le contre-jour, qui jouait à cache-cache avec ses parois.
Ce moment fera à jamais partie de mes meilleurs souvenirs. Tout comme la randonnée dans son ensemble. Car nous avons eu de nombreux autres cadeaux à admirer du début à la fin de la rando, comme le cheminement au milieu d'arbres entièrement recouverts de neige (les feuillus aussi bien que les résineux) ou la vue sur les Alpes Suisses qui était particulièrement belle en ce jour.
Je pense qu'il s'agit de ma plus belle randonnée hivernale à ce jour (mais je n'ai pas non plus des tonnes de randonnées hivernales à mon actif). Et c'est d'autant plus beau d'avoir pu la partager avec ma femme.

(So I'm obsessed with books. We have a HUGE book sale in October where there's books for a dollar and I like to refer to it as my Christmas lol.
I procrastinated on doing this: firstly because I wanted to avoid light, because I'm favoring sun flares, and secondly because I was watching Gray's Anatomy
I just couldn't keep my face still at that aperture : /
I might replace this on a second attempt later but I'm too tired from school to bother with it any more tonight
-also, I'm resolved to not square crop the next one - shooting in 620 makes me think in squares)
