A bit of a diversion from my usual dresses. A denim mini skirt over bare legs (no tights is very rare for me!) and a stripey top, with T-bar wedges to finish the outfit off.
I'm quite liking the skirt and top combination!

Saturday night we tried a p[lace we had not tried before - the Oak Vaults. A bit off the beaten track but apparently this is the regular meeting spot for some of Hull's trans community.
We had a great night! There was a drag act on called Hairy Antoinette (LOL!) and it was a lovely friendly atmosphere.

The next day, there were some interesting clouds around so we've decided to head out again. There is always the chance that some of them stay till the sunset, though, mostly they either disappear or form into the solid cover. One never really knows for sure but, if one doesn't go out of the city, one will never know, right? ;D This time, the sunset wasn't really that great, but I still enjoyed our visit to the neighborhood we've visited only once before.

Percé (2006 Population 3,419) is a small village near the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula in Québec. It has a long history of being an important seasonal fishing centre under the French. Today the area is mainly a tourist location particularly well-known for the attractions of Percé Rock and Bonaventure Island.
Percé Rock is a natural rock formation located close to the shore facing the town. It is a natural tourist attraction for its size, color, and unusual door-like hole at one end the rock.

Today, 22 November 2018, is Thanksgiving Day for Americans. I had not intended posting any photos this morning, but when I realized that the next few photos to upload from our Ontario and Quebec trip were of Wild Turkeys, I thought it appropriate to edit and post some this morning. Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans, wherever you happen to be living at the moment.

Day 4 of our holiday was 10 May 2018. We had a ridiiculously early start to the day, as we had been told that American Woodcocks (Scolopax minor) tend to gather in and around the hotel parking lot. That information was just too good to ignore, so I think it was sometime after 4:00 am that we were out there, searching. As it turned out, in vain, though we did hear two individuals vocalizing in the dark bushes across the road. The American Woodcock is "a small chunky shorebird species found primarily in the eastern half of North America. Woodcocks spend most of their time on the ground in brushy, young-forest habitats, where the birds' brown, black, and gray plumage provides excellent camouflage." From Wikipedia.

This last day was spent at Pt Pelee, walking a few trails including at The Tip again. We also drove to The Onion Fields, just north of Pt Pelee, between Hillman Marsh and Pt Pelee, where we had a great sighting - a very, very distant male Snowy Owl, sitting way out in a field, next to a white post!! Awful photos, but will eventually post one of them, just for the record. I have added Anne B's ebird list for Day 4 in a comment box below. As always, I did not manage to see every species, but was happy to see at least some of them!
The next morning, 11 May, we had to do the very long drive from Pelee to Toronto, where we caught a plane to Quebec City, arriving there at 2:45 pm. From there, we had a long drive east to reach the small village of Tadoussac on the St. Lawrence Seaway. There, we would be staying for a week at the summer 'cabin' of one of our group of friends.

Oops - forgot this one from June.
So I got brave and bought myself an epilator!
I have to admit I was not looking forward to the first use one little bit! I have a low pain threshold. But in fact it was a lot less painful than I expected - and I have been using it ever since. I am a convert!
I think it helps that I've been on hormones for near on 2 years, which will mean the hairs are finer and softer, and it helps that I epilated under a hot shower. I would describe the sensation as similar to being on a beach on a gusty day, with the sand particles hitting you legs and arms. I thought my first session of laser hair removal was way more painful than this, and even that was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be.
My legs did look like a plucked chicken for the rest of the day though, ha ha!

Quinn: Good news, Chief Garfield. It appears that Deadpool and Latte have found our missing witness, AA Kubrick.
Garfield: Her eyes look glazed. Has she been eating a donut?
Quinn: (groans quietly.) She's apparently radioactive. The cat-scan didn't show any other problems. She's currently unconscious but stable.
Garfield: So she wasn't resisting a rest.
Quinn: Funny, Chief. Need anything else before I get back to work?

Saturday was a night at the Star, our usual. We had a fantastic night!
We got there a bit early and glad we did because it was very busy for that time.
I had a go at the karaoke but had a major fail as my voice gave out half way through the song, ha ha!
Our lovely friend Cherry was DJing and it was fab to have a catchup with her.
Then we finally managed to meet an online friend Martin (we always seemed to be in different places previously) and his friend Claire - we had an absolute blast with them!

As is our tradition, Gemma came to Hull for Christmas.
Christmas Eve we had home-made raspberry cheesecake before heading out to The Star for the evening. It was a very quiet one in The Star though so we ended up coming home quite early.

So this is a build I've had for months now and I think it's come time to post it so I can tear it down and begin anew on an all new Batcave! So for this one it's built on a large grey baseplate, with nine main sections:
Batcomputer: I really loved the setup of the official set, so I basically moved that to the new cave, added more consoles and posted the bat symbol above.
Medical Station: I saw Legoman685 make the X-Ray screen, so all credit should go to him for that beautiful idea. I really loved the chair from Greivous's starfighter set, so i basically just slapped it in there.
Elevator: I really liked the play feature of the official set, so I took the same basic idea and I had to stretch it out to be much taller. It looks really ugly and that's the number one thing I want to improve.
Trophy Room: Simple design, features Bruce's League of Assassins sword, Two-Face's coin, A vile of VENOM, and a kryptonite gem.
BooM Tube: what you see is what you get, helps other heroes and Bat's get around the city, also will lead to the Watchtower.
Equipment Rack: features a rotating wall, one side with baterangs, grappling hook, handcuffs, and bow staff. Alternate side features stand for scuba tank, flippers, and two boomerang baterangs.
Bottom Floor Left: has a latter to get up to the second story, sliding door that will fit all Batmobiles, and a glass case holding the uniform of Jason Todd.
Bottom Floor Right: features the suit display, which works the same way as the equipment rack. The display holds six suits. This will also need to be changed in the new batcave, hopefully fitting 8 suits, maybe even 10.
Batmobile Platform: Basically just a large rotating platform that spins and allows the batmobile to drive in and out.
And that's about it. What do you guys think? What should I add in my second version?

just an update on anything and everything-
-marching season ended last week, which basically also meant my life in school ended. haha jk. but seriously..
-our marching band competition was great :D we got like 40th out of 53rd i think.. haha.. likeaboss.
-homecoming was the greatest. oh god. ihop at midnight? i think yes.
-half way done with with first semester of school :D time flies fastttttt maaann.
-ITS GETTIN COOLD AS CHIZ.
-halloween on monday? who is freaking pumped. tell me what youre gonna be!!! im gonna be part of a mini mariachi band with my amigo :) hehe we were originally gonna be mario and luigi, but the little boy costumes were too small for us fatties. + i didnt want to spend $20 more for adult costumes so i was like screw it, mini merachi band it is.
-saw the three muskateers yesterday with my friends! it was overall a good movie but pretty cheesy, i recommend it :) and plus it has logan lerman in it. eheheheeheee. (shae. ;D)
-MARIO KART PARTY TODAY. cant you just tell im the coolest person ever...
-alright so i recently got the highest grade on a math test ive ever gotten before. xD 98% on my geometry test.. :'D and we're starting our trigonometry unit. holygeezus.
