Friendship - you're all that matters to me (Shine).
Without my friends, I am nothing. Without them, all of this is for nothing. I treasure my friendships. And Gemma - well, she is my soulmate.
Gemma made this beautiful video of our weekend and put it to one of my favourite songs - Shine by Take That. I am in floods of happy tears every single time I watch this.
my sister said it looked like something from alice in wonderland-hence the title-enjoy!

(If you comment "TL:DR" I will passionately hate you. If this is too long to read, skip it, but you don't need to tell me about it.)
"Do you ever thinking of getting into a different job?"
Salem glanced up from his arc welder, a sense of dread creeping in. He
never knew what to expect when Anvil started like this. It could be the
lead up to a painfully stupid pun, or it could be the start of a question
about something mundane that somehow reveals a soul jarring truth about
society. Salem was slowly adjusting to Anvil's strange ability to be
absurd one moment, and frightfully insightful another. It was a fitting
parallel to Anvil being Salem's partner in business and yet quite
possibly also a spy for the enigmatic Green Corp. Anvil was a double sided
coin.
Sighing deeply, Salem finished his cut and turned his welder off. "Like
what?" he said, raising a quizzical eyebrow.
"Something that isn't run by a company who shares name with a villian from
a movie."
"You watch to many ancient vids. Skynet may be almost on par with a
villain from a vid, but that could be said of all the corporations. And
they pay good."
"Other jobs might pay as good."
"I say again, like what?"
"Like-" Anvil grunted, helping Salem lift the large square of metal away
from the roof and drop it off to the side, "Garbage men."
Salem dropped his end of the plate a little too fast. "Garbage men?" he
asked, surprised. He and Anvil stopped for a moment to look around and
make sure no one heard the loud crash of the plate falling.
"Yeah, y'know, a job where people don't notice you, or shoot at you." If
Anvil was making a joke, his face didn't show it.
"Is this still about Tokushima posting a bounty on us? Skynet has made
sure that it won't be a problem." Salem lowered himself through the hole
they had cut in the building's roof. Anvil crouched on the edge beside
him, covering their rear, "No... well, maybe yes. It just seems like we
are working in a very dangerous field."
Salem looked up, wondering if Anvil was serious. "We're being paid to
shoot things and acquire valuable items. Of course it is dangerous. But we
get to shoot things, and buy gear and armor not available to normal people
like garbage men."
Anvil dropped down into the hole, his feet thumping on the metal grating
of the maintenance room they had cut into.
"Okay, fine, so maybe not garbage men... what about being mercs? They
still get to shoot stuff."
They slowly crept down a narrow passage way leading to a discrete door
that would open out into their target room.
"How is that any less dangerous then what we currently do?"
Salem leaned up against the wall beside the door, Anvil took the other
side.
"I don't know, at least they don't get sent in alone, or when they do it
isn't against the odds we get put against," Anvil whispered to Salem,
nodding that he was ready.
"Yeah but if you are a merc..." Salem turned and ferociously kicked open
the door, pausing the conversation to line up shots on the surprised
guards of the room he was entering. Anvil followed right behind him,
taking the other side of the room. Their Greyhound rifles punched neat
holes through the low-grade armor of the armed guards. The room was
spacious, being almost a full two floor tall, decorated in the round edged
cube fashion that currently very popular. Everything was either a clean
pure white, or a vibrant solid color. Accents were a polished black
chrome. It was the typical highrise penthouse of someone with current
tastes. Which struck Salem as strange, as he thought they were supposed to
be raiding a laboratory. However, the guards were all geared in the
appropriate uniforms, with the right badges. This had to be the correct
place, though why someone would do research on experimental wet-drive data
storage in a penthouse instead of a laboratory didn't make much sense.
Shaking his head free of these thoughts, he finished checking the room.
All clear.
"You were saying?" Anvil asked over his shoulder, holding his rifle aimed
down the hall towards the entrance in case anyone else was in the building
and may have heard them. This was supposed to be the only occupied room at
this time of night. The scientists were all at home, main security was
off, just leaving this guard room that separated the rest of the penthouse
from the room that held the prototype that Salem and Anvil were sent to
"acquire."
Salem paused, remembering what he had been in the middle of saying before
the strangeness of the room had distracted him.
"Ah... yes. Mercs don't get the privilege of having morals. If you want
to be a professional merc who gets hired to do anything interesting, you
most likely need to be willing to throw ethics out the window. In our line
of work we do similar jobs, but all that the suits paying us care about is
that we get the package, they don't care how."
"So we can be careful, avoid innocent casualties... or be reckless and
blow everything up. Doesn't matter which?"
"Exactly."
"That is what I was thinking, this is a good job."
Salem shook he head, "Then why did you even ask if you didn't actually
want to change jobs?"
Anvil shrugged and thought for a minute, then grinned, "Oh, there was a
pretty girl working with the company who picks up the garbage from our
apartment block."
"Anvil... I swear, if you weren't so freakishly gifted at this job, I'd
kick you out this penthouse's window this very instant."
Anvil winked, "Probably, but I am, so you won't. Besides, you've said
yourself that life was fairly boring before I came and-"
"Started intentionally making jobs more complicated and dangerous?"
"-made jobs more interesting."
"Yeah, that may be, but that doesn't mean I can't be angry with you at the
moment." Salem gestured to the door that lead to the package, "After you."
Anvil plugged a hacking module into the keypad and turned back to face
Salem with a grin, "You can try."
"I hate you."

Into November's photos now, and I was quite pleased with this set. No exciting occasion to dress up for this time though, just a night in at home.
Raw ingredients plus a finished montage of photos. :-)
Please if you favored this picture,, gives an comment
Scientific name: Zygaena filipendulae
Wetenschappelijk: Zygaena filipendulae
Kenmerken
Voorvleugel lengte: 15-19 mm.
Voorkomen
Zeer algemeen. Komt verspreid over het hele land voor. RL: niet bedreigd.
Habitat
Bloemrijke graslanden, wegbermen, kalkgraslanden, weilanden, brede bospaden en duinen.
Waardplanten
Gewone rolklaver en moerasrolklaver.
Vliegtijd en gedrag
Eind mei-eind augustus in één generatie.
vlindernet
The six-spot burnet (Zygaena filipendulae) is a day-flying moth of the family Zygaenidae. It is a common species throughout Europe.
The sexes are similar and have a wingspan of 30–40 mm (1.2–1.6 in). The fore wings are dark metallic green with six vivid red spots (sometimes the spots are merged causing possible confusion with other species such as the five-spot burnet). Occasionally, the spots are yellow or even black. The hind wings are red with a blackish fringe. The adults fly on hot, sunny days from June to August and are attracted to a wide variety of flowers such as knapweed and scabious, as well as the larval food plants bird's foot trefoil and clover. The species overwinters as a larva.
The larva is plump and hairy with variable markings, usually pale green with rows of black spots. It pupates in a papery cocoon attached to foliage.
Many thanks for your visits, faves and comments. Cheers.
Bâillon's Crake
Scientific Name: Porzana pusilla
Like most species of crakes and rails, Baillon's Crake is a denizen of swamps and other wetlands. Although they are rather secretive and skulk about among the vegetation at the margins of these wetlands, sometimes they can be seen dashing across floating aquatic plants. When they run, they have a peculiar crouching posture, but at other times, they walk slowly with their head down and tail held erect and constantly flicked.
Description: The upperparts of a Baillon's Crake are a rich cinnamon-brown, with black streaks and white spots on the back and wings. They are generally light grey below, with a white belly that has dark barring, which extends onto the undertail. The bill is greenish, as are the legs and feet, while the eye is bright red.
Similar Species: The Australian Spotted Crake is much darker, with dark-brown upperparts and dark-grey underparts.
Distribution: Baillon's Crakes are mostly found in south-eastern and south-western Australia, with records at scattered sites elsewhere throughout the country. The species also occurs in New Zealand, South East Asia, Eurasia and southern Africa.
Habitat: Baillon's Crakes inhabit vegetated wetlands, usually with fresh or brackish water, including swamps, billabongs, lakes and reservoirs and temporarily inundated areas. They often prefer wetlands with floating aquatic vegetation.
Feeding: While foraging, Baillon's Crakes pack at insects, crustaceans, snails and other small invertebrates on areas of open mud at the margins of wetlands, among fringing vegetation, or from floating aquatic plants.
Breeding: Five or six pale-brown eggs are usually laid in a shallow cup or platform made from dry rushes, grass or waterweed, placed among tussocks at the margin of the wetland. Both sexes incubate and both guard the young birds.

Description: 2014-8-16: After taking a break for almost more than a month from sunset shooting (due to erratic weather and workload at the office), I was finally able to spend the time for a quick sunset sesssion. Not being able to decide earlier on the shooting location, I finally started my car and made my way to place that I very seldom shoot during sunset in the city. Alhamdulillah, the weather stays clear in the evening and I am glad that I decided to step back from the usual viewpoint that I usually shoot. Hopefully the weather further improves in the next few days. The image is also part of the image sequence taken for my time-lapse session that evening. Do visit my profiles at Facebook/Vimeo/Youtube for the result later.
Thank you for stopping by.

White-plumed Honeyeater
Scientific Name: Lichenostomus penicillatus
Description: The White-plumed Honeyeater is a medium-sized honeyeater with a slightly down-curved bill. It is yellowish-olive to grey above, pale brown-grey below, with a yellowish head and a distinctive white neck-plume, giving the bird its name. The males are slightly larger but the sexes are otherwise similar. Young are duller, with much less distinct plumes and a paler bill. Usually gregarious and seen constantly moving from tree to tree with rapid darting movements.
Similar species: The only honeyeater with a white neck-plume, the White-plumed Honeyeater may only be confused at a distance with other similarly sized plumedLichenostomus honeyeaters such as the Yellow-plumed, Yellow-tinted, Fuscousand Grey-fronted Honeyeaters.
Distribution: Endemic to mainland Australia, the White-plumed Honeyeater is found found everywhere except in the tropical north, Cape York Peninsula and the most arid areas. Originally a 'straggler' to Sydney until the 1940s, it is now very common and well-established, and has also expanded its range into the upper Hunter Valley all the way to Newcastle, New South Wales. It may also be extending its range into south-western Western Australia, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Habitat: The White-plumed Honeyeater is found in open forests and woodlands, often near water and wetlands. It is scarce or absent in arid regions unless water artificially supplied (e.g. water troughs for stock). Its overall distribution is linked to River Red Gums. It is also found in remnant bushland in urban areas, as well as parks and gardens.
Seasonal movements: Seasonal migration from ranges to lower areas in winter.
Feeding: The White-plumed Honeyeater feeds very actively from leaves and flowers in the crowns of trees and in shrubs between 5 m and 13 m from the ground. Its main foods are nectar, insects (and their products such as lerps and honeydew), manna and fruit, with some seeds. Very strongly associated with River Red Gums. They sometimes also feed in the air or forage upon the ground.
Breeding: During the breeding season, male White-plumed Honeyeaters make several 'Song Flights' throughout the day above the treetops (10 m - 20 m above ground) while singing a special song, before diving steeply into nearby tree. Females build a small cup-shaped nest in the crown of a tree from 1 m to 20 m off the ground. It is woven from grass and spider web and lined with wool, hair or feathers. Females incubate the eggs but both parents feed the young, sometimes with the assistance of helpers. Two to three clutches are laid each year.
Calls: The White-plumed Honeyeater is one of the first birds to call in the morning and the last to call in the evening, with several songs e.g. 'chick-ick-o-wee' or 'chirrapo-we-weet, other calls and musical whistles. Also has a piping alarm call. The White-plumed Honeyeater is one of the first birds to call in the morning and the last to call in the evening.
Minimum Size: 15cm
Maximum Size: 17cm
Average size: 16cm
Average weight: 19g
Breeding season: Anytime, but mainly August to December.
Clutch Size: Two to three, rarely four.
Incubation: 14 days
Nestling Period: 14 days
