This sweeping landscape at Gibbs Gardens captures the grandeur of tall, slender trees reaching towards the expansive blue sky. The trees, some still holding onto the last of their autumn leaves, form a striking silhouette against the clear, bright canvas above. Beneath this natural canopy, a lush field of daffodils blankets the ground, a sea of yellow beneath the towering trunks. The composition of the photo, with its contrast between the vertical lines of the trees and the horizontal sweep of the daffodil field, draws the viewer's eye across the beauty of the scene. Headed out to this park with only my 50mm f/1.8 lens with the intention to capture airplane light trails. After awhile, a girl approaches me and asks if I can photograph a certain plane (Air Transat) at approximately 9:30 PM as her loving boyfriend will be flying the plane after flying only 4 times and normally leaving out of Toronto. She wanted a photo of him taking off. I explained to her that I did not have the lens for that but ended up giving her a copy of his takeoff which showed the light trails from his plane, namely the picture you see here. She was very happy and I was glad I could oblige in one small way. Love was in the air, literally. ❤️

I hope your Christmas is a happy one and if it is not. You are not alone.
I made this image this morning. She can be released now. I do not do this with every image I make. The majority of them are field work. I have no problems sharing if an image was made in my house. Lately I have been in a load of pain and I came across this female a couple of days ago and she seemed interesting so I collected her for photography.
I have a few other small interesting ones to get to. Today has been quiet. Gorged myself on some food that I cooked and sat with a cat named Trouble out the front of my unit.
At least today no threats or abuse from a near by resident.

St Paul's Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge

When I visited London in 2016, unfortunately, I did not step inside St Paul's. I only recently discovered one unique acoustic feature of St Paul's beautifully created dome that fascinated me. The Whispering Gallery is a circular walkway that is 257 steps up the dome from the cathedral floor, encircling the interior of the dome. At the Whispering Galley, a whisper against its curving walls is audible on the opposite side some 30 - 40 meters (on average, approximately 115 feet) away. How amazing! I am neither a physicist nor a mathematician. Based on what I have read, the late Lord Rayleigh discovered this phenomenon, that in a whispering gallery, the sound waves cling to the surface, creep horizontally along a relatively narrow belt around the circular shape of the wall, and travel to the other end of the gallery, thereby amplifying sound.

Kasteel Doorwerth is vanaf de middeleeuwen door diverse adellijke families bewoond.
Het oudste gedeelte uit ongeveer 1280 was een rechthoekige woontoren of zaalburcht. Die stond op de plek van de huidige oostvleugel van het kasteel. De zaalburcht had 1,2 meter dikke muren en was omgeven door water. Er was ook al sprake van een voorburcht. In de loop van de 15e eeuw werd het complex vergroot, waardoor vier vleugels rond een binnenplein ontstonden. Na enige moderniseringen kreeg de hoofdburcht omstreeks 1560 min of meer zijn huidige aanzien.
Na de verwoestingen in de Tweede Wereldoorlog blijft van het kasteel nauwelijks meer over dan een ruïne. In de vijftiger jaren is er begonnen aan de restauratie van Kasteel Doorwerth.

I suppose the reason I forgot was because well....look at this. Terrible afternoon light on a hazy mid summer day shooting toward the sun coupled with about the most unappealing consist you could ask for with a one unit wonder leading a string of empty 'bare tables' is pretty forgettable don't you think?!
SD70MAC 4006 leads a string of empty 89 ft deck flats south as train 192S an extra military train that delivered equipment north to Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks and was headed back to Anchorage. They are seen here at MP 284.2 sailing nearly 300 ft above Hurricane Gulch on the more than 900 ft long bridge built in 1921.

Yesterday 08:30am, a visit to the local wetlands, there were five cranes. Obviously a stop over during the migration flight to thier sommer locations. This was taken just prior to take off. Notice how four of the birds are looking in the same direction and that was the direction they flew off in.
