Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch., Commander, Installation Management Command, will host a flag uncasing ceremony for the U.S. Army Installation Management Command Oct. 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Joseph W. Westphal, Under Secretary of the United States Army, will be the guest speaker.
The ceremony represents the presence of the installation management community and the assumption of the command's authority in San Antonio. The installation management community includes the U.S. Army Installation Management Command Headquarters and two major subordinate commands: U.S. Army Environmental Command and the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command.
IMCOM temporarily occupies leased space in northeastern San Antonio until the new IMCOM Headquarters Building on Fort Sam Houston is completed in October 2011.
Uncasing the flag exemplifies how IMCOM, headquartered in "Military City USA," is transforming to make Army installations the Army's Home.

Soldiers, Civilian employees and their Families took a break from their normal, busy work schedules to participate in team building activities and celebrate the recent transition of the IMCOM headquarters to San Antonio, Texas.

Soldiers participating in Equal Opportunity Leadership training course at Redstone Arsenal took a break from class to step into the classrooms of University Place Elementary school to read to youngsters.

Soldiers and civilians stationed at U.S. Army Garrison Vicenza received training in using Army Battle Command systems at a special training session in Decemeber. The training preps personnel to work with more than 16 battle command systems used by the Army. REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala.--July, 22, 2011 – The two largest civilian employers in the Department of Defense, the U.S Army Materiel Command and the Naval Sea System Command, joined forces Friday with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to provide more employment opportunities to service members by expanding their veteran hiring programs.
The agreement between U.S Army Materiel Command and the Naval Sea System Command expanded the veteran hiring programs for both organizations by combining two existing programs.

The commanding general of Army Materiel Command, GEN Ann E. Dunwoody and the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, Ms. Heidi Shyu came to Afghanistan to meet with the Soldiers and Civilians, logisticians and warfighters. They visited members of the 401st Army Field Support Brigade both in Kandahar and in Bagram and received tours of several of the facilities at each.

The 401st Army field Support Brigade provides Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, and Marines, the tools and resources necessary to complete the mission. If they shoot, drive it, fly it, wear it, eat it or communicate with it, the 401st helps provide it. The brigade assists coalition partners with many of their logistical and sustainment needs. The brigade also handles the responsible disposition of equipment in Afghanistan to support evolving missions. We are the single link between Warfighters in the field, and working through Army Sustainment Command, we leverage Army Materiel Command’s worldwide Materiel Enterprise to develop, deliver, and sustain materiel to ensure a dominant joint force for the U.S. and our Allies.

2024 Change of Command Ceremony – Commander, 5th Canadian Division
In a ceremony held on June 22, 2024 at Royal Artillery Park in Halifax, N.S., Brigadier-General Stéphane Masson relinquished command of 5th Canadian Division to incoming Commander, Brigadier-General Mark Parsons.
The ceremony also included the appointment of Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Mario Grondin to Division Sergeant Major (DSM), assuming the role from outgoing DSM Chief Warrant Officer Mark von Kalben.

McAlester Army Ammunition Plant held a change of command ceremony on June 21, 2017. COL Sean M. Herron relinquished command to COL Joseph D. Blanding, who arrived in southeastern Oklahoma from the Joint Munitions Command, where he was the Chief of Staff. He is the 35th commander of the ammunition production facility that was commissioned as Naval Ammunition Depot, McAlester, on May 20, 1943, and the 18th commander since it was turned over to the U.S. Army.
