Some of the most comical and fun-loving birds we have in Australia are members of the cockatoo family, the Little Corella's.
They are clowns and love to play, a habit that is uncommon in the bird world. They wrestle with each other and will lie on their backs with their feet in the air, just chilling. They love to hang upside down by one foot or their bill from a branch.
Corella's have been known to slide down steep roofs, falling off the edge and flying back to slide down again. Another wild ride they love is hanging onto windmill blades or sitting on roof exhausts and spinning around.
From watching Buzzards above the moors near Harden Moss to following a heron on the canal with a few comical goats thrown in I didn't have a bad weekend really. The Buzzards seemed to appear out of nowhere as usual, moving fast and flying high they took a bit of tracking. The heron on the other hand took an hour to walk from the other side of the reservoir to a point close to me. it stopped at an awkward angle for me to photograph it without me moving and being seen. It then did a short flight to the canal, I moved and sat on a parapet wall above a deep drop in to a canal lock. The heron skipped over the canal and came so close that I had to lean back as far as I could without actually moving and being seen just to get the bird in the frame. At times I could only get partial shots. It them flew past me, almost brushing me and landed nearby on the towpath. Fortunately on this Saturday evening it was quiet and as it walked along the towpath I shadowed it at a distance, it flew in to the canal and was eventually frightened off by dogs. My arms were killing me I'd been holding the lens and camera in front of me non stop for an hour, fighting the cramp in my left arm. The things we do.
The goats on the wall top were a bit of a distraction as I followed three Buzzards messing around in a field near a farm in the afternoon and I snatched a few shots, the one behind was headbutting the others from behind to make them keep moving, very comical.

Oh Shit is a comical book that illustrates this traveller who was deprived of his favourite banana when he was overseas. Followed by excessive eating and causing a massive output which led to land reclaimation. An ideal coffee table book for a lazy Sunday reading, where one wants to simply rest and have a good laugh.

A comical video at the expense of this poor robin who was getting a soaking and, to make matters worse, was singing to his own reflection in the window through which I was videoing him. (Either that or he mistook me for a prospective mate!) His reaction when he clocks himself (or me) is so funny and the look on his face as he stares at the window can't help but bring a smile to my lips!
Clowns are comical performers, stereotypically characterized by their grotesque appearances: colored wigs, stylistic makeup, outlandish costumes, unusually large footwear, red-nose, etc., who entertain spectators by acting in a hilarious fashion. The types of their acts varies greatly. Although some find clowns to be scary, their intended purpose is to entertain people, especially young children. Peter Berger writes that "It seems plausible that folly and fools, like religion and magic, meet some deeply rooted needs in human society."For this reason, clowning is often considered an important part of training as a physical performance discipline, partly because tricky subject matter can be dealt with, but also because it requires a high level of risk and play in the performer.

Incredibly, this male was also off in the dunes, too small to assert his dominance and hold onto a spot on the beach, where all the action is.

The comical roadrunner prefers running to flying and has been clocked as speeds of 15 miles per hour. They are approximately 22 inches in length and their diet consists of insects, lizards, centipedes, mice and snakes.

There was something almost comical about the bird walking away. It was like she was exiting in disgrace, or something! I could just imagine the conversation!
This was a little comical to me so I had to shoot this. There was a sighting and bread being tossed into the water to feed the winged friends. I was struck by how much faster the Gull got to the action as the ducks slowly swam at a slow pace, I can imagine the Gull saying "Why Swim" lets just do a fly by and have lunch.

Chris sang very emtionally - sometimes weeping (and sometimes comically exaggerating), deep into his songs' world. however MCs were very friendly and cheerful. I have never met any musicians like him who tried to communicate with audience a lot. he kept asking "any question?" but we are too shy to ask him enough because of language. I just hope he didn't feel bad.
so he talked about himself and very often "my wife said". we all knew he loves his wife a lot, and realised he have been in love with her deeply, afresh.
he also explained about his song before singing, for example, "Wintersong" was about his brother who and him have never get along each other. but it was somehow upsetting for me that he told "because I could not wait for death" was about the quarrel between married couple in lassitude and sexless life and sang funny (why don't you fffffffffffffffffffuck me?...). this song is one of my fav and I assumed it was one of saddest song I've ever heard...
