Bellowing Elephant -
He released his grip on the stem and dived straight onto the dry grounds. Among the grit with his legs up, he try to feign dead but it is no use. "I can wait until you regain conscious or would you prefer me to resuscitate right now?” I think he heard that and got up on his own, you can’t win against a determined bug tracker you know. His outrageous pink coat pales under the strong sunlight but still he looks cute with button eyes and the long nose. Who says a comedian can’t be a heart throb? I love this funny weevil; he makes me laugh with his comical face and behaviour.

Meerkats may look like prairie dogs, are really related to the mongoose. These comical creatures are inquisitive and alert at all times, you see them busily digging in the dirt looking for insects, making underground burrows.
These little carnivores live and work together in a group called a gang or a mob, helping each other to care for youngsters or keep a lookout for danger. If trouble is spotted, the lookout alerts the others and they all dash back into the burrows for safety. Fun to watch! :)
The Meerkat (aka: Suricate) is a small species of foraging mammal found inhabiting harsh open conditions in the semi-desert plains in southern Africa.
A member of the Mongoose family, Meerkats differ from Mongoose species in a number of ways with the biggest difference being that Meerkats are incredibly sociable animals, where most Mongooses are not.

From watching Buzzards above the moors near Harden Moss to following a heron on the canal with a few comical goats thrown in I didn't have a bad weekend really. The Buzzards seemed to appear out of nowhere as usual, moving fast and flying high they took a bit of tracking. The heron on the other hand took an hour to walk from the other side of the reservoir to a point close to me. it stopped at an awkward angle for me to photograph it without me moving and being seen. It then did a short flight to the canal, I moved and sat on a parapet wall above a deep drop in to a canal lock. The heron skipped over the canal and came so close that I had to lean back as far as I could without actually moving and being seen just to get the bird in the frame. At times I could only get partial shots. It them flew past me, almost brushing me and landed nearby on the towpath. Fortunately on this Saturday evening it was quiet and as it walked along the towpath I shadowed it at a distance, it flew in to the canal and was eventually frightened off by dogs. My arms were killing me I'd been holding the lens and camera in front of me non stop for an hour, fighting the cramp in my left arm. The things we do.
The goats on the wall top were a bit of a distraction as I followed three Buzzards messing around in a field near a farm in the afternoon and I snatched a few shots, the one behind was headbutting the others from behind to make them keep moving, very comical.

When we first saw these ceramic Pintades, we thought they were comical caricatures—until we saw the real thing. Now we’ve grown to love them and think they are rather stately. French artist Heidi Caillard and her son Adrien had pintades around the farm and created these delightful ceramic versions. The real ones are quite common in Provence, where they are raised not only for food, but also as “watchdogs”, as they call loudly to one another when danger threatens. Origin: Lussan, France. Small size: ~10” tail to beak and ~6.5” tall.

This is a comically big digital camera. It is a current model SONY camera made for taking passport photos. It comes bundled with a printer that instantly prints via Bluetooth from the camera and the whole set retails around $1500. You really cant understand the ridiculousness of the size of this camera without being there however. The model number is the UPX-C200 you can see pictures of the kit here.

This comical pot bellied fat man was wearing a laughing mask and a monk's outfit. His bald head is usually blue in colour and his hand is wielding a fan. This light-hearted character often acts foolish and silly, making him very likeable to children. This particular one was a little unusual with large bandage across his head. What is the meaning of the bandage ? — at 33 53' 19.45" S 151 07' 28.70" E, Ashfield, Sydney, Australia.
A surreal and comical anthropomorphic potato character with human-like body and potato-textured skin, standing in a moody portrait style. The potato has sad droopy eyes, a deep frown, and a weary expression. It wears a blue denim jacket with a fluffy shearling collar, giving it a cool yet melancholic vibe. Studio lighting, cinematic portrait photography style, hyper-detailed textures, whimsical but realistic design.

The ever comical Kelso. Having fun with "wrong" focus points. This was accidental as i reached arround the tree and clicked but I think it works with Kelso's comical angle and expression
Amazing aerobatics by Kent Pietsch as he masterfully flew the "Jelly Bean" plane in the most unusual attitudes you could imagine!
Some very skillful flying hidden behind a comical routine.
Someone's video footage of this flight. Please note, parts of the plane detaching throughout the routine (aileron, tail wheel, etc.) - all part of the act - we hope!
A note for camera geeks - RAW is good!
I shoot exclusively in RAW, and for very good reason. This photo was completely overexposed, the wing was almost pure white. This was my fault though, I forgot to cancel exposure compensation from a previous shot.
I corrected the exposure by 2 full stops in the RAW Converter (Canon Digital Photo Professional) and it's amazing how much detail/colour was salvaged. You would not be able to come anywhere near this with JPG as it's an already compressed file format.
Just thought this was incredibly comical. I have seen this kind of thing happen on many occasions, but on this one, I had my camera.
