"Comfortable" is the second oldest digital capture on the Imapix Flickr stream. ("The Wooden Sidewalk!" wins the prize by being 12 minutes older).

It was taken in May 2001 with a 1.3 megapixel Kodak DC240, a pretty horrible camera that would get its clock cleaned by any 49$ Nokia phone today. That my dad got some decent pictures out of that thing is a small miracle.

I feel that this shot marks the beginning of the "digital renaissance" that he experienced in the last 10 years of his life.

The little orange kitten Clementino, perched comfortably on the front porch banister, soaks up the warmth of the morning sun's rays. Clementino is his nickname—his full name is Clementino the Orange, named after a popular children's toy :-)

Camera: Olympus Pen EE-3 (1973-1983, with Olympus D. Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 lens). A handy little selenium-metered, auto-exposure, fixed-focus 35mm half-frame camera :-)

Film: 35mm Kodak Plus-X (expired 1998, rolled from bulk), developed in Arista Liquid Developer (1+9) for 5:15 minutes @ 69 degrees, and scanned with an Epson V600 scanner.

Pet stores.....wonderful places to see critters that you would never think of actually owning! They also come in handy for helping me deal with my snake and spider phobias....this particular store has many of both....and i can take a deep breath and glance at them safely behind the glass of their tanks. if they start to move in the tank i can step back and look somewhere else until the chill up my spine subsides! These little charmers looked so cute and comfy.....well, the one on top looked comfy! i am not sure the fellow to the right was in all that great a position.....given the proximity to the nether region of the ""couch frog"!

I am not sure what they are looking at....did not see any little television....so perhaps they are just deep in thought...
