I don't hope so, cause you don't have to sleep in a church. ; )) Perhaps the reason why there was' nt someone inside....
Here is another backyard Blue jay shot from a couple years back. I like this one.
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Thank you for your visit..!
Greenland always has been a land of great mystery. A vast arctic wilderness, home to spectacular scenery and natural treasures, so far away that it seems to be visited only by explorers. Not anymore!. Join us on a truly unforgettable photography adventure on our comfortable, chartered boat into East Greenland's awe inspiring Scoresby Sund fjord system! Please enjoy my `pictorial article with images I captured in Scoresby Sund, at this link. All images were taken at locations where I take our workshop participants during our annual “Greenland – The Last Frontier!” photography expeditions. I hope you enjoy!
This image: The last light of day glistens on the edges of nearby icebergs framing a distant giant, itself surrounded by a sea of glittering ice. It was getting late during our adventure in East Greenland's Scoresby Sund, and our captain decided to spend the night here: In the middle of a sea of still, calm water, surrounded by uncountably many icebergs, all of it framed by giant mountain ranges. It was a day we will never forget.
When we first arrived, I was not too sure the hotel I had picked for this part of the trip in Iceland was a real good decision ... it was quite convoluted to get there, I noticed the hotel was going through some renovation etc .... and I feared that it was going to be less than an ideal accommodation for two very tired travelers suffering from jet lag. It turned out that I was totally wrong. The hotel was extremely quiet, pleasant and comfortable... Furthermore, an employee who saw me unloading my camera gear from the vehicle was curious about what I was interested in photographing... When he found out, he offered to take me to a few nesting locations around the hotel... I did not know what to expect but I was kind of flabbergasted when he took me to this nest of the Horned Grebe... This is a pretty rare bird for Iceland. Less than 700 pairs breed in Iceland. I never expected we were going to find this bird during that trip and it was no going to be dramatic as we can fairly easily access this bird in BC. However, I felt so fortunate to have access to this nesting area in Iceland... What a great way to start a bird photography trip... Life feels so good when it puts on your path such genuinely generous people... fully disinterested who just wanted to be kind from the goodness of their heart ...sadly enough perhaps another endangered species :(

Running high on the impressive 22 Arch, Grade II listed, Saddleworth Viaduct, Transpennine 185120 leads a Manchester Airport to Redcar service, it may appear that I’m up to my waist in the Huddlesfield Narrow Canal, but no i’m comfortably on dry land as the canal narrows to pass under a road bridge.

Early morning serenity at BC's Emerald Lake after overnight snow.
Emerald Lake Lodge is the only property on secluded Emerald Lake, surrounded by the breathtaking peaks of the Canadian Rockies. The lodge is twenty minutes west of Lake Louise. Originally built in 1902 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, this historic property includes 85 comfortable units situated in 24 chalet-style cabins. The units feature cozy duvets, wood burning fireplaces and balconies or patios with magnificent views of the property.
I've dined here, but haven't stayed in one of the cabins....yet. High on my dream list.
Thanks for taking a look! Always appreciated!
There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain you would not understand
This is not how I am
I have become comfortably numb

Another collaborative effort with my daughters' help. My younger daughter helped with the background and my older daughter gifted me these beautiful peppercorns.
I'm trying to get comfortable in working in color so expect more color intense images as I explore this area. I usually shy away from color as I find it challenging so how best to deal with it than in extremes?
