And here are some other things to click:

Initially planned as a Christmas special by the network, and Presley's manager Colonel Tom Parker, producer Bob Finkel transformed the idea. He hired director Steve Binder to update Presley's sound, and to create a special that would be current and appeal to a younger audience. Filming took place in June 1968 at NBC's Burbank Studios. The show consisted of a sit-down section, stand-up numbers and two musicals. The sit-down session showcased Presley in an informal setting, surrounded by fans and small band. The stripped sound, and intimate atmosphere would become the forerunner to MTV Unplugged.
Andrew Barclay Works Number 1245 of 1911 lay in Thomas Muir's scrapyard in Kirkaldy along with a number of other Barclay locomotives until rescued in 2004 by the L&HR. After a swift overhaul the engine was restored to service and is a regular on the line.
The engine is painted in the striking blue of the Caledonian Railway in a nod towards it's Scottish Heritage (It also helpfully looks a bit like a certain famous Tank Engine from the nearby Isle of Sodor!)
So my recent surgery put a damper on my dark art gaming , so i thought i should pour myself a lil sizzurp and come back with a lil wayne quality jammer.
As I spend an extended holiday recuperating from the injury from my accident...I usually don't or can't do much these days, aside from limping all around. The whole period of inactivity has been undoubtedly restful but, rather frustrating.
I made the attempt to somewhat end the rut today by getting out to shoot a respectable self portrait - and this one ended up being my favorite. My time at home is now nearing its end, but I think I'm feeling kicked enough about this image to limp around some more and get more shots in the coming days.
Creatives/tech: A YN560 fired bare, camera left. I'm finding myself increasingly attached to the wonders of the speedlight. Even a single flash can be done so much with. Image toned in Lightroom 3.
In other news, it's been pretty cold here this time. A good change I'd say.
Anyway, I hope everybody's having a great day. And I just want to send out my gratitude to my contacts and everyone else who's been visiting my stream and leaving a comment or fave, or simply taking the time to view something.
I post the occasional selfie here if you'd like to take a look.

This is a shot from about 6 months ago. My photography was kind of on a hot streak back then, even though in my personal life things were pretty miserable. The images came out of me as a natural expression of that sadness, but it was extremely rewarding and satisfying to produce things I was proud of, not to mention the appreciation people on this site and elsewhere showed me. It helped pull me out of my funk, but eventually I think I started to get a bit complacent.
I looked back at some of those shots yesterday, and if you'll forgive the horn tooting, they were pretty frickin' sweet. Some of the best stuff I've ever taken. And I think it's time to put in the effort and step back up to that level again. It's time to be great again.
I'd encourage you to go through some of your older stuff. There's so much inspiration on this site and others, but sometimes you can inspire yourself more than anyone else can. Look at what you're capable of, know that if you can be that good then you can be even better, and make it happen.
Stay tuned.
After sitting on the side lines for more than three months with a broken foot and torn ligaments, Andrew was chomping at the bit to get back to playing rugby with his West Bridgford U12 team mates... And what a comeback... The boys fought incredibly hard to overcome an on-form Nottingham Paviors side, three tries to one, and young Wilson-Axpe bagged a couple....
Bin gerade leicht im kreativen Ruhemodus, deshalb sind die Fotos im Moment auch etwas dezenter.

Hello everybody! I know that I have more pauses here, than i'm active :) but since my last post I've made big step forward in my "photography" career :D. I spent a lot of time by learning new things in photography. from very basics to more complex things. I was thinking for very long time if i ll stay here and continue in posting or move somewhere else, because i wanted to close my "old chapter" and start new one :). Many times i was looking on your new photos my friends :) and today I decided to start posting here again. So I back with new ideas, new stories :) hello everybody, hello my old friends, hello Flickr! I'm glad to see you again.
I want to start with this one, because it has completely changed my view on photography.

Agnes Ayres (1898-1940) was an American film actress. After her debut with Chaplin and acting at Essanay and Fox, Ayres had her breakthrough in The Sheik (1921) with Rudolph Valentino, after which several important parts at Paramount followed in e.g. The Affairs of Anatol (1921) and The Ten Commandments (1923). After a dip in the mid-1920s, she had her comeback in The Son of the Sheik (1926), but the arrival of sound cinema made an end to her career.
