This was my comeback evening out with friends after an unexpected medical event earlier in the year ... and it was reassuring to see Rachel Oliver looking as fantastic as ever!

Well... got a lot of things to do and i was cruelly in lack of inspiration, sorry.... That's why i took a (little) break. Really happy to get back here.
I did quite some changes to this character, wasn't happy with Cecile's look after all this time.

last weekend we had a winter comeback with a snow storm ... as it stopped snowing for a while (after several hours of heavy snowfall) i grabbed my cam and went outside for a few quick shots - it was nearly 4 a.m. ;-)
Almost two decades since its last tour appearence, Steamrail's 4-carriage Tait Set returned to the mainline for its first run with public passengers with a series of one-way trips between Dandenong and Pakenham.
Minutes after collecting passengers for the first time since 2004, the Taits roll through Spotswood on train 8540 bound for Flinders Street and then Pakenham. 23/4/22
An exhortation and a ecological statement applied to this wonderful juvenile Bald Eagle on Cape Cod.

Even after Amtrak's 26 unit E60 fleet was reduced by retirements or resale, such as the 10 that went to NJ Transit, some of the remaining units soldiered on, powering the heavier long distance trains. E60CP No. 956 was retrofitted with head end power and renumbered as the 601, reclassified as an E60MA, and is seen decked out in a wide stripe Phase III scheme, powering train 19, the southbound Crescent through Edison NJ on 19 June 1987.
tell me I’ll be sorry
that you pushed me into the coffee table last night
so I can push you off me
try and touch me so I can scream at you not to touch me
run out the room and I’ll follow you like a lost puppy
baby, without you, I’m nothing, I’m so lost, hug me
then tell me how ugly I am, but that you’ll always love me
biết tui là ai k ?
Marseille comeback, my first picture was better but this one is still worth sharing I think. The velodrome is easy to spot!

Cinque Terre's Comeback: How Vernazza Rebuilt Itself
When a biblical storm rolled across the Cinque Terre, northwest Italy’s string of five historic coastal villages (Porotfino, Monteroso, Vernazza, Corniglia, and Riomaggiore), last October, the floods carried fishing boats all the way to Morocco—and almost wiped the prettiest village, Vernazza, off the map.

Iglesia San Francisco, Vernazza, Cinco Tierras
2-Iglesia San Francisco

Hello, Old Friends.
It feels surreal to be writing this. If you remember me, you might remember my year-long project where I photographed myself every single day. That time was a whirlwind—a raw, beautiful, and sometimes terrifying experience that went more viral than I could have ever imagined. It connected me with so many of you who felt seen through my lens, my words, and my daily documentation of life, anxieties, and everything in between.
It’s been a few years since I last posted here. Life got busy, the camera stayed in the bag a little longer, and honestly, sometimes the world just felt a bit too loud for sharing. But I’ve missed this community, and I’ve missed the feeling of hitting ‘post’ on a photo that felt truly mine.
So, what have I been up to?
A lot has changed, and a lot has stayed the same. I'm still processing life through a creative lens, still navigating those daily anxieties we all share, and still documenting the journey—just a little differently now.
I've moved my daily, more immediate creative updates and personal stories over to my Instagram account. It’s where I post new photo projects, talk about what’s going on in my world right now, and continue those honest conversations about life, creativity, and mental health that we used to have here.
I’d love for you to join me there! Consider it the continuation of our story.
You can find me (and my camera) here:
I’m looking forward to reconnecting with all of you. Thank you for making that original project such a meaningful chapter of my life. The next chapter starts now.
Couldn't be active on Flickr lately so sorry for that, I will try to catch up!
Since a week or so the black-tailed godwits did their entrance again and a large group returned to a field nearby. Until today I didn't manage to come close. Today 4 of them forage on a dike within reach and together with two redshanks, not shy but also not really active yet.
The sun was a bit harsh but a thin layer of clouds and a "willing to pose Godwit" made the conditions great for some backlight captures...

Someone put a new roof on this place about 3 years ago, then it just sat with no more work for a year if I remember correctly and then in 2020 it was jacked up and the window in this end was changed.
My first picture of the place, taken in 2016 when it seemed to be just abandoned, is shown below seemingly with the humble chair that its last resident used when he/she sat out.
