The streets of Paris always seem clean to me. The colour scheme of this person suggests some thoughtful planning. I like the way the sun catches the spray as the broom flicks.

WAACS design & consultancy, from Rotterdam, invited me over to their out-of-office camping party. They arranged some Zunes from a client of theirs (now who would that be? ;-)) and asked me to have a go at them. This is how far I got in an afternoon.
It became this 'really social' Zune, in white because somehow they forgot that colourscheme (^_^), with an custom iTrip backpack so you can really share the music you're listening to with your friends. Zunes have a FM-receiver, so with this one Zune with a transmitter, everyone can join the party. I mean, you don’t want to be bothered with DRM-stuff and/or three-day-three-play-stuff while you’re out camping? At least I don’t. ^_^
Now, with more time on my hands and my own environment I guess it could have come out a little tighter and such, but considering the circumstances and the time frame, I guess this was pretty much the max I could get out of it.
It was a lovely day.
You can find the complete set of the day without the Zune overhere
The bird known as Prince...
and a colour scheme to die for! Prince, and his partner (who has a completely different color scheme but is very shy) are Australian King Parrots and sometime visitors to our backyard, where Prince will sometimes allow himself to be fed with sunflower seeds. Apologies for the poor picture, they usually visit in the late afternoon when the light is going.
If you're interested, there is some more information at this link (including an example of their call, bottom right of the web page - however Prince makes a much wider range of noises and is actually a bit of a mimic it seems to me): www.birdsinbackyards.net/species/Alisterus-scapularis

whhhoooooaaaa however i photograph this drawing the girl always looks really alien-y i cant figure out why!!!she looks so much more normal in the actual drawing i think it's the eyes or something but aaahhhh
anyway this is a drawing and watercolour it took me about 50 attempts to get her hair right or in a style i wanted and then i thought about being in the shower and my skin is wet and the blues and pinks and whites of tiles and towels reflected onto my wet skin and how cool that looked so i sketched in long wet straight hair and then painted the tiles in the background and put that exact shade of blue in reflection onto her skin and hair and then blocked in the rest of the tones, always working around the base of that blue colour and the colourscheme is pretty nice, its a bit jaded in the photo but i uploaded a closer-up version so u can see the blues and skin colours a bit better
This is the final gantt chart design and has been used as it would be with Ted Baker as the client.
As this would be the gantt chart for the same company as the creative brief I designed I choose to keep the same background throughout, ensuring coherence within the company.
The use of images within this gantt chart layout, has been limited in relation to previous designs. The images used are relevant to the tasks illustrated on the gantt chart. The client's logo has been included, alongside a photograph of one of their store fronts; this is as the gantt chart refers to in-store promotions and launches.
The base for the gantt chart is clear and visible with a bold black outline ensuring it stands out from the background. However the transparency and layering within the background adds visual interest and stimulation to the design, drawing in the reader.
To make sure the time frame boxes stand out from the background, bold opaque colours, influenced by the background colourscheme, have been used. A key placed visibly at the top of the design shows the meaning of each colour.
By having the client's name written in a different, contrasting font to those used throughout the rest of the design, it makes it evident to the designer using the gantt chart the client they are working for.
Finally annotations have been added to the design. This allows for explanation and additional information to be added to the otherwise clear and concise chart. It ensures that the purpose of each time slot is apparent to the person working from the gantt chart.
