I´ve been cameraless for way to long now and it´s quite paralyzing to say the least. So I found this picture on my computer - yet another outtake from the April Ethereal shoot - cropped it, changed the colours, a lot, and uploaded it.
same place as the next picture - same mountian - i just thought i'd give you a sense for how cold it was. for anyone who is a skiier or snowboarder - you should recognize the look in those clouds. what was a severe rain storm back at my place in Ota (on the Kanto plain - read: lower) was a pretty crazy snow storm on the mountains (read: higher). it was blowing like i haven't seen it here before. and i thought it was going to be a nice fall day...
13 different pics were use to create this final image, blended using lighten mode in Photoshop and tweaked the hue individually.
The cold has finally hit us here in northern Minnesota!....-35 below as I type this....no wind!.....It's going to be a rough winter!.....I wouldn't mind even slapping a mosquito about now!.....
The Buçaco Forest offers a variety of monuments and walks. In one of the walks through the forest, you can find the Cold Fountain. From a mountain spring, water bounces downhill over 144 steps in a cool, shaded forest setting.

I just wait when it's too cold and when there is totally no one outside to go out. I enjoy the silence, and I live the winter.

Day 280:
I wanted to shoot something outside today, but it was way too cold. This troubles me because I know it is only going to get colder, way colder. I have to toughen up quick because I will not let this winter keep me and my photographs indoors.

The day was cold enough even for the birds. This Great Tit was trying to warm its foot by pressing it against his body.

North Curl Curl Pool - During a week of storm swell. It was cold and wet thanks for the invite Tim . Spent two days drying everything out. The ocean was amazing, love your work Huey.
