Blustery, very cold - I sought sanctuary in the National Gallery - next picture - all photos handheld and unaltered - cropped - click for larger - Smithsonian Mall, Washington, D.C.
Zac is the friendliest dog ever, so much so that he wandered off with these two very pleasant guys and their dogs; we met on Birnam Hill. Eventually they had to phone me, and I picked Zac up (the landline no. is on Zac's collar) but I wasn't able to call them back to say thanks. This is one of their dogs: the wee guy found the cold snow on Birnam Hill just too much...

On air: Cold Front - Hammock <---------------------------------------
I came across this picture from a trip to Lapland I took about two years ago, I'm still impressed by how some snow and -30°C can take away all colour there is ...
Hiked up to the top of Ingleborough today as I'd never (as far as I can recall) been up any of the Three Peaks!! This was the spot where I stopped for lunch, of course the camera came out and I played around taking various shots with a time delay.
It was -4F in Sandstone with a windchill well south of that as I stood on the bridge to shoot the Great Pumpkin leading M-SUPNTW.
Somewhere in Toronto, one December morning.
Flickr seems to make this look oversharpened. Try full size.
Well we finally got snow! Although it's melting very quickly :(
More snow pictures to come (:

There's this little town in Nevada called Cold Creek. Don't expect to find yourself just casually driving by it though, it's kind of off the beaten path. Maybe that's one of the things I like about it, when you get there it's almost surreal. What a great place to just let go of life and enjoy the peacefulness of a town embraced by nature.
This is a photo from my visit to the zoo at Stuttgart in January. The morning was quite cold and the benches were even covered with frost, not very inviting. I think the leaf is a Magnolia leaf.
This creepy sculpture haunts a front yard on Hermitage Avenue in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago. Whatever you do, don't look in those soulless eyes!
Cirrus clouds blaze by as the remnants of a snow squall from Lake Huron brush past the city under a crushing ridge of arctic high pressure.
a bramble leaf yesterday morning.
It was even colder this morning I think. Yesterday it was beautiful and fun as i could just wander with the camera but this morning it was just hassle as i had to defrost the car to get to work!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and dependent on the day of the week.
The view this morning from my front window. The frost rime on all the trees has rendered them all white. there's very little snow. Glasgow Corporation have very kindly demolished the dilapidated shed at their Dawsholm recycling centre which was an eyesore on the horizon here improving the view though it took me a while to notice!😏
