Espresso Bar, located on 42nd Street near Madison Avenue in Manhattan, has books painted on the walls and on the floor. Near the main library on Fifth and 42nd Street that has a small literary milieu around it's immediate vicinity. When walking into it, one feels as if they are walking on glass-covered bookshelves.
Update: 6/30/12--Expresso Bar was no longer there last time I walked by.
I started the concertina Moleskin that we got at #UskBcn2013 before Sketch Muscat 8. I've decided to record Muscat coffee shops in it.

this is the regular spot to take a coffee break from the studio, however, it's often more of a pass-through than actual drawing place (too close, i presume). every once in a while i take my time and draw here. love to the locals.

getting to this coffeeshop early is key, too late in the day and second stop turns into a laptop zoo. featuring a refill station for your coffee, big windows and i think might be best construed as donut-muffins...sugar/butter/lemon top. yes, i suggest you try one.

If the English name here was an attempt to use a somewhat coarse expression meaning "the best", I can only say it lost a teensy bit in the translation...
