A short clip of Bella looking for her hoop in the long grass. For some reason, she fly's off across the field to look somewhere else then zooms back again to where it is and brings it back.
Taken handheld on my 7D with the Sigma 105mm macro lens at 1080p and reduced down to 720p using the xvid codec.
Listening to music in FLAC format opens up an entire new world. I've been listening to Black Sabbath today with FLAC files. When you couple it with a good set of speakers/headphones the quality of sound improves drastically. The highs, the mids and the lows are distinctly audible and there is absolutely no noise. I cannot imagine how they would sound on a pair of Yamaha speakers running on a Denon amp!!! I'm going to try and get the entire Floyd collection on FLAC...that will be something!!!

Some of the producers from CODECH were gathered for a workshop given by Anacafé on organic methods for prevention of leaf rust, and I took advantage of soliciting their thoughts on the past year before the workshop began.
The members echoed a lot of what was discussed the previous day when I met with the board of directors. As a group, they are enthusiastic about the support for programs focused on gender equality. And, they are working to encourage more members to invest in organic farming practices. Some of their main concerns as a community include food security and access to health, which the cooperative is helping them address.

In this session we will present the work performed in the European project Immersify which is dedicated to researching and developing tools, content, and spaces for immersive media. We will start with a presentation summarizing the work on video codecs, media players, and game engines plugins for highly immersive and interactive media. The next-generation of immersive media applications demand ultra high quality video beyond 8K resolution, combined with interactive capabilities, and 3D and immersive audio, which have been the focus of the Immersify project during its almost 3 years of research and development.

The AJA Ki-Pro digital video recorder was my favorite product of NAB 2009. This is one cool device. A field recorder that records to an AJA storage module (HDD or SSD) and/or Express34 memory cards. The interesting part is that it records natively to Apple's ProRes codec, which means that these very high quality files can be used instantly in Final Cut Pro, without Log and Transfer or digitizing. It also functions as a converter box: takes anything in and spits anything out. I like it mostly because of it's versatility. You can use it as a primary recorder, as a redundant recorder, as a format translator (up/down/cross-conversions) and as a way of extending the relevance of older analog camera gear. The ProRes422 and ProRes422 HQ formats are wonderful, which you would expect at 220 Mb/s (for 422 HQ). I especially like the built-in WiFi and Ethernet so that the user can control the unit via a web-browser, iPad, or iPhone. It's rugged and well suited for the hostile world of field production.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Twelve metres at 20:10pm on Wednesday 24th May 2023 close to sunset (Sunset was at 20.59pm), off Qwuc Chus Lane and Patricia Bay Highway 17 on Vancouver Island in British Columbia in Canada.
Here we see a wild Eastern cottontail (Sylvilagus floridanus), a common sight in the Lower Mainland, Eastern cottontails first moved into B.C. from Washington, where they were introduced in the late 1920s.
They were later introduced to Vancouver Island in the 1960s. They are small rabbits, weighing around a kilogram, with brownish bodies and white underbellies.

The AJA Ki-Pro digital video recorder was my favorite product of NAB 2009. This is one cool device. A field recorder that records to an AJA storage module (HDD or SSD) and/or Express34 memory cards. The interesting part is that it records natively to Apple's ProRes codec, which means that these very high quality files can be used instantly in Final Cut Pro, without Log and Transfer or digitizing. It also functions as a converter box: takes anything in and spits anything out. I like it mostly because of it's versatility. You can use it as a primary recorder, as a redundant recorder, as a format translator (up/down/cross-conversions) and as a way of extending the relevance of older analog camera gear. The ProRes422 and ProRes422 HQ formats are wonderful, which you would expect at 220 Mb/s (for 422 HQ). I especially like the built-in WiFi and Ethernet so that the user can control the unit via a web-browser, iPad, or iPhone. It's rugged and well suited for the hostile world of field production.

One of the largest of Herons, it has a head to tail length of 01-137 centimetres (36-54 inches) and a wingspan of 187-201 centimetres (66-79 inches).

Niagara Falls or Golden Niagara Falls is a waterfall in Niagara Canyon, part of Niagara Creek in Goldstream Park near Langford, British Columbia, Canada. It drops 47.5 metres (156 ft) down a narrow gully into a pool and a flowing creek and is roughly the same height as it's more famous namesake.

Calit2's digital theater auditorium offers 200 seats with power and ethernet jacks in every seat. The high end technical equipment installed in this room allows it to be used for anything ranging from presentations with Powerpoint slides, video screenings, presentations of visual and performance art, to demonstrations of the future of digital cinema: 4k video on a 18 by 32 foot screen. Among the technical highlights of the auditorium are: a 20 channel surround sound system, high definition (HD) video playback from computers or digital HD tapes, real-time virtual reality with a 3D tracking system, and a Sony SRXD-R110 4k projector (4096x2160 pixels resolution). The control room houses the following 4k-relevant hardware:
An NTT hardware codec, which can play back JPEG2000 compressed 4k video with multi-channel audio at 24 or 30 frames per second.
A Zaxel video server with lossless compression to playback and record 4k video.
Other equipment used in the digital theater includes a digital light mixer, a conventional projector by Christie with a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels, and a remote control system by Crestron which allows presenters to connect their laptops and control video and audio directly from the podium.
