Between the 3rd and 6th of September would see me take a holiday to the north Wales village of Porthmadog. During this time, I grabbed some shots of the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway. This video mainly focuses on the Welsh Highland portion of the railway and less so on the Ffestiniog section.
The 5th would see me take a ride behind one of the WHR’s NGG16 Beyer Peacock locomotives, the example I had being ‘NG130’, on a return trip on the complete section between Porthmadog and Caernarfon; a long journey, but one I can say that’s been ticked off.
Due to this video’s length, it has been broken down into ‘Chapters’ where certain parts of the video have been labelled correspondingly. LS = Lineside; all shots taken from stations and vantage points. WS = Windowside; all shots taken from the droplights of passenger trains – the locomotive/s hauling it will be added too. You can view these chapters in the video playback bar or in the description, where they’ll be listed with the timecode.
