Served piece of Easter egg cheesecake on dessert plate. Garnished cheesecake on glass cake tray. Ingredients baked bottom of pie are butter, flour, sugar and cocoa powder. Cake ingredients are cottage cheese, sour cream, cane sugar, cream, gelatin, vanilla sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest and yellow food coloring. Garnishing consisting of lemon zest, almond powder, chocolate Easter eggs, freeze-dried sour cherry pieces and mint leaves. Teak wood surface. Light effect.

Tiramisu with ladyfingers and whipped cream. Bottom layer is with coffee and amaretto soaked ladyfingers. On top mixture prepared with mascarpone, heavy cream, sugar and egg yolk. Top layer is whipped cream sprinkled with cocoa powder. Mint leaf garnish.

The mix for dusting mocha marshmallows:

1 part cornstarch

1 part confectioner's sugar

1 part cocoa powder

Campton Place was where she worked when this was made...it's a very rich coffee cake with sour cream, peaches, brown sugar, almonds and cocoa powder. Delicious.

 

It's the first coffee cake I've ever made that I've been happy with in the end.

Don't forget to scrape out the icing bowl....

These are a riff on the dark chocolate oatmeal cookies I make frequently. The recipe is on my website: melissamckelvey.com/?p=180

 

The only alterations I made to the recipe: nix the oatmeal and white chocolate chips and add lots of toffee bits and a large handful of peanut butter chips. Leave the semi-sweet chips in them for more chocolaty goodness!

Sift 6oz (150g) icing sugar and 1 and a half oz (38g) cocoa powder into a large bowl. if you do what i tend to do, and lose the sifter, you'll have to spend ages getting rid of lumps....
