Stirring the icing... and as it's me, cursing the lumps. Once the icing is a nice, even, smooth choclatey paste, leave it to cool. But my top tip - don't leave it to cool completely! I find it gets impossible to use if i do.

I made these orange and cardamom truffles after craving truffles for about a week now. I paid £1 for a single truffle yesterday ... quite a rip off so I made my own. Not bad too.

Last week I was on a quest to find some quick and easy cookies to bake...that didn't require me to chill the dough for 30 or more minutes. I happened upon these at epicurious.com and am glad I did.

The only changes I made were the addition of espresso powder and a few white chocolate chips. Other than that, I stuck to the recipe.

 

These cookies were a great blend of crunchy yet chewy and the raw dough was unbelievably delicious. These will be made again and again and again.

Chocolate taste instant drink 15% skimmed cocoa.

Tiramisu with ladyfingers and whipped cream. Bottom layer is with coffee and amaretto soaked ladyfingers. On top mixture prepared with mascarpone, heavy cream, sugar and egg yolk. Top layer is whipped cream sprinkled with cocoa powder. Mint leaf garnish.
