"Chassis number: 2A5901F4005169815. First registered in April 1983 but then subsequently reregistered in August 1985. The vendor bought this 1.5-litre Alfa Romeo Alfasud Cloverleaf Gold in 2011 but hasn't used it much during that time. As a rolling restoration, the bodywork is done, but needs some improvement, while the interior is original but needs work, in the opinion of the vendor. It is reported as mechanically okay, but needs fettling. The car comes with spares for the interior as well as glass. Five registered keepers overall are recorded and the mileage indicated on the odometer is 66,800 miles. The last MoT expired in January 2015 after having been tested the previous year at 66,379 miles. Paperwork accompanying the Alfa Romeo includes the V5C plus some recent invoices and old MoT certificates. There's also three brochures and three Haynes workshop manuals."
Estimate: £2500 - £3500. Sold for £3132 including premium.

Alfa Romeo launched the Alfasud Sprint in 1976 at the Turin Motorshow, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro like the Alfasud, whose mechanicals it was based on, it had a lower, more angular design, featuring a hatchback (although no folding rear seats). The Alfasud Sprint was assembled together with the Alfasud in the Pomigliano d'Arco plant, in the South of Italy, hence the Sud name.In May 1978 the Alfasud Sprint underwent an update and the engine choice enlarged to 78 bhp 1.3 (1,350 cc) and a 84 bhp 1.5 (1,490 cc) with the 1286cc unit dropped., one year later Veloce models were offered with output increased to 85 and 94 bhp.
In February 1983 Alfa Romeo updated all of its sports cars; the Sprint received a major facelift, now known simply as the Sprint the Alfasud and Veloce titles being dropped from the model name. The Sprint also received a platform upgrade, which was now the same as that of the Alfa Romeo 33; this entailed modified front suspension, brakes mounted in the wheels instead of inboard like on the Alfasud, and drum brakes at the rear end. Three models made up the Sprint range: 1.3 and 1.5, with engines and performance unchanged from the Alfasud Sprint Veloce, now titled Alfa Romeo Sprint 1.5 Quadrifoglio Verde or Cloverleaf in the UK market. Visual changes included a new grille, headlamps, wing mirrors, window surrounds and C-pillar ornaments. Bumpers went from chrome to plastic, and large plastic protective strips were added to the body sides; both sported coloured piping, which was grey for 1.3 cars, red for the 1.5 and green for the 1.5 Quadrifoglio (Cloverleaf)

This signal used to govern movements for the NKP/N&W & PRR diamond, but it stays in this position since no trains cross the diamond any longer.
Kent registered - on SORN - no DVLA MOT history.
Sam Osbon uploaded this same image on 20 February 2012...and the car is still here today, nearly six years later!
Only a limited amount of the Cloverleaf spec were imported, just 393 from what I've read. Seriously good looking mid 90s' car and that 2-tone does suit it really well. The Cloverleaf was top spec which got these wheels and extended skirts.
Checking HML, I was surprised to see this is just one of 31 registered on the roads. Good to see this one being well cared for though.

Another car I see often, but only just got the chance to photograph.
A rare car, I don't know of any other 145s around here, and even less so in this colour. It looks very well for it's 125k miles!
Missed a huge downpour this morning while sleeping but managed to catch the last of it sitting on some clover in my back garden. Taken with a Samsung NX30 and 60mm f2.8 SSA

I took part of a morning to continue learning the joys of flight and wound up at Matteson, IL home of one of CN's crossroads in the Chicagoland area. Here, a southbound leaves Markham for the former IC, crossing over the top of their former EJ&E line.
