This morning I drove to work with a beautiful sunrise reflecting off the edge of this cloud bank to the West. Out of nowhere, a rainbow dropped from the cloud bank and continued to intensify as the sun rose in the East. Truly a magnificent sight, I had to stop and compose a couple of shots. Hope you enjoy this light show.

Sunrise on Beal Ban beach,,
One of my shots from a fantastic weekend workshop in the Dingle Peninsula with John Hooton Images...
Taken just near Bendigo in central Victoria. As evening fell this thunderstorm appeared in the southwest and continued on an easterly track. We were having a BBQ tea outside at my daughter's place and a safe distance from the wonderful sound and light show. Taken with my iPhone.
Made my way to the popular Morton Overlook near Newfound Gap on US 441 while I was in the Smokies this past weekend. The road from Gatlinburg to Cherokee has a wide variety of views, ranging from grand vistas to intimate landscapes and even opportunities to shoot in streams that run alongside the road in sections. One of the favorite views is sunset from Morton Overlook. It can get crowded as sunset approaches, so arrive early. But you can catch views like this as the sun sets.

Myself and Albert O'Donnell headed up to Windgates on Wednesday evening to see if his prediction of a good sunset would play out... i think he is missing his calling as a forecaster!
A photography teacher I once had said that the best camera is the one you have with you at the moment. In this case it was an iPhone.
