Solar Halos are ice crystals in cirrus clouds in the upper atmosphere.

I see more solar halos in the spring than in the summer.

Over D.A. Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State University, Hole 11

A fast moving spring thunderstorm soaked the landscape with more than an inch of rain before departing with a pastel sunset.

Playing with my newly acquired 8 pt. star filter on our beautiful sunset. Still trying to determine if I like this filter or not but time will tell as I get opportunities to play with it a bit more.

Lovely white cloud formations mingling through a nor'west sky this evening, strong and powerful. Sunset was much softer than last night, colours not so vibrant but easier on the eye, I still stood in awe as I always do.
