A first look around the island. Modern European atmosphere was a suprise to me. The models shown here are made from wood obtained on neighbouring uninhabited Henderson Island.

The children are the most import thing here. Imagine the struggle to fit yourself for the 21st century if you grow up here but somehow they do it very well.

I kept trying to use pastels to finish her lips but it just didn't want to work no matter the coats of msc so I decided to paint them neon pink and I have to say their some of my favorite lips

In 1936/37 Geoff and Sheldon Taylor paddled their canoe from New York City to Nome Alaska (New York to Nome by Rick Steber).

In 1988 he rounded Cape Horn with us at age 75 only to lose his own boat, Sheila Yeates, to the ice off Cape Farewell in 1989. Unbowed and unsated here he is again with us in Greenland, trying to sail the North-West Passage in 1994 at age 81. To see a photo of Sheila Yeates go to:- www.flickr.com/photos/haggs/340118414/

Stopped on the South side of Pitcairn island but it could hardly be called an anchorage. This is the alternative access to the island via 'The Rope' i.e. up the cliffs.

I guess there are fewer visiting ships these days but that is the way everything had to come in so it is important to the island the boats are ready at short notice.

The Cloud 9 Revolving Restaurant & Lounge has been a landmark of Downtown Vancouver since November 1973. The restaurant is fully renovated and on the 42nd floor of The Empire Landmark Hotel (formerly the Sheraton Landmark), one of the tallest hotels in Vancouver.

Step off the elevator onto the 42nd floor into the Cloud 9 Revolving Restaurant & Lounge, and you are greeted with a spectacular view of Vancouver. The 20 feet high windows allow guests to be treated to the unobstructed 360 degree view of the majestic setting of mountains, harbour, the Strait of Georgia and the city itself as the restaurant revolves. A kaleidoscope of vibrant lights covers the walls and ceilings at every turn giving a lively look and feel even on the dullest rainy Vancouver day. Once night falls, the fiber optic lighting from the ceiling gives the impression of stars in the sky. A large mural depicting the Constellations on the upper interior wall ties the entire design of Cloud 9 together. The menu offers a wide variety of regional specialties and signature dishes of the restaurant. The restaurant is locally renowned as a venue for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, graduation parties, corporate celebrations as well as small private wedding receptions.

As for the surfing? I got several scratches from grazing my feet on the seabed after I took off the booties the surf instructor had lent me for the session. They were too small and I was getting toe cramps. It was my third time to have at surfing, and I finally learned how to paddle without my arms feeling like overcooked spaghetti afterwards (just al dente). And I figured out how to go under the waves instead of around the surf break in paddling back out. But I think I regressed; I felt like I was able to stand on the board more times on my first try than the latter two combined. Ah well. Siargao redux, I’m ready for you.

Steve and I spent the afternoon shooting breadfruit from the trees (I don't think he expected me to be able to hit the stems). After I prepared wile (wild?) beans with Olive and blanched some breadfruit to cook next day on the boat.

"If you want to live, let live.

If you want to go, let go.

I'm not afraid to dream, to sleep, sleep forever.

I don't need to touch the sky.

I just want to feel that high,

And you refuse to lift me."

So not the best photo but i just wanted to express on how exhausted i am from school :x It's almost over and i just can't wait! Lately, i've been falling asleep when i get home from school and i would take a nap which i rarely ever do! It's difficult for me to even sleep in the day time but Junior year is so stressful and i just want it to be over with!

I'm also seeing Chris this saturday and i'm so excited! :') i haven't seen him since February and i just miss him so much :( i can't wait to kiss him and hug him! i just wish it was more than one day and not at the mall. We rarely ever have privacy and the only time we sorta did was at Twirp in Feb. ugh. But at least i get to see him so i have to be grateful for that :3

I swear i will be getting some more film photos soon! I still have to finish a roll and i forgot to give my dad my one other finished roll from the zoo :x I really hope they will be okay! I also want to take photographs of the kittens my cat gave birth to like a week ago! They are so cute and i would love to have them in my photostream! We have to give them away sadly so i need loads of pictures of them before they will be gone :(
