It can't always be a blue sky day...
One of a series of sky photos taken over the Cathedral City of Lincoln. I don't think I've ever seen cloudforms quite like these before - have they an official name?!
We had a fantastic evening sky on July 28 during the Stucchi's cruise-in at Dexter. I took a walk around the neighborhood to get some shots of the dynamic cloudforms.

One of a series of photos of a beautiful sunset - taken over a short period in September 2015.
The location was on the west facing escarpment known locally as Lincoln Edge, in the cathedral city of Lincoln. The viewpoint gives a clear view of west Lincolnshire and the Nottinghamshire plain.

almost like a spiralled serpant like form with strange devilish head ! i dont really look for pictures in the clouds but this struck me.
seems coincidental that rods, H1N1 and this occur on the same day.

The Ace of Swords was today's card, and as you can see, I did two versions. The righthand one came first, and as you see I didn't proportion it very well. The fist is too large, the hilt outsized to the dagger-like sword, and all in all— a failure.
Fortitude! Says this card. Keep at it! Justice means that some of your efforts are going to fail. You can't expect every individual effort to succeed — but every failure contributes to other, later success: provided that you keep at it. The Chinese proverb says, "fall down 7, get up 8". So too with the Ace of Swords.
The other thing I gained from this card was a recognition of the relative smallness of my tool kit for this project. I have ten pens of the right size and ink palette: a yellow, a red, an orange, a pink, two greens, two blues, a brown and a black. The background of this card is normally a light gray; the cloudforms from which the hand emerges should be dark gray. How should I produce these colors on this card, or the ones to come? The Ace of Swords answers that question by inviting us to seek out either new tools or new technique. That's what fortitude means: persevere in the face of challenges that arise. The sword is a uniquely human tool: only intellect can take metal and work it. I wouldn't say this card is done yet, but I shall persevere in my efforts. May you, in yours.

A beautiful sunrise sequence taken on arrival at Nottingham on my morning commuter run from Lincoln.
I was impressed by a Star Trek 'NCC Enterprise' lookalike cloud in this one - maybe it's just me though.
I have spent the last year as a commuter on the Lincoln – Nottingham line. The railway opened in 1846 and was the first line into Lincoln, running into St Mark’s station.
Although the modern railway seems somewhat soulless, I have tried to capture some pleasing moments from my many months of commuting.

I can recite the grass on the hill and memorize the moon. I know the cloudforms of love by heart and have brought tears to the eye of a storm. and my memory banks vaults offorests and amazon river banks and i've screamed them into sunsets that echo in earthquakes. shadows have been my spotlight as I monologue the night and dialogue with days. soliloquies of wind and breeze applauded by sun rays. we put language in zoos to observe caged thought and tossed peanuts and p-funk at intellect and MTHRFKRs think these are metaphors
i speak what I see
all words and worlds are metaphors of me
my life was authored by the moon footprints written in soil the fountain pen of martian men novelling human toil. and yes, the soil speaks highly of me, when earth seeds root me poet-tree. And we forest forever through recitation.
now, maybe i'm too Sirius.
too little here to matter. Though i'm riddled with the reason of the sun. A stand up comets with the audience of lungs. this body of laughter is it with me or at me? hue more or less? Hu-man, though gender's mute. And the punch line has this lifeline at it's root.
i'm a star. This life's the suburbs, I commute. Make daily runs between the sun and earthly loot. And raise my children to the height of light and truth.
