Lincoln to Nottingham – a Midland railway. View from a train window.

Nice cirrus clouds seen on my evening commuter run back from Nottingham to Lincoln.

I spent two years as a commuter on the Lincoln – Nottingham line. The railway opened in 1846 and was the first line into Lincoln, running into St Mark’s station.

Although the modern railway seems somewhat soulless, I have tried to capture some pleasing moments from my many months of commuting.

Driving home and saw this sky, mangaged to pull off the motorway, run up a decent hill (old Volcano), very quick run in fact when I heard a loud dog bark :-) and snap a couple of shots before the sky was gone

got to say Pohutukawa Trees are so great, this one had a stump next to it so its mate has gone

OK I'm a tree freak at the moment :-)

Interesting cloudform spotted over a barley field on the Ballyhenry Road just outside Comber.

We had a fantastic sky on the evening of July 28, 2010 over Dexter, Michigan, where I happened to be at the time. I took a walk around the neighborhood to get some shots of the dynamic cloudforms.
